# Using "adult" content
Many webmasters try to diversify their site or make money with it by using teaser ads or ad links. Unfortunately, this can have a negative effect on the site. To protect your site from the negative consequences of using such content, please follow the recommendations below.
If your site is meant for all ages and can be interesting both for older and younger people, avoid using any links to “adult” resources.
The same applies to teaser networks. A visitor who came to your site after searching for [big bang theory online] isn't necessarily ready to see an erotic ad. Teaser networks usually allow you to customize the advertising topics, as well as restrictions on displaying their ads, so configure it to suit your site.
