# Web Push Notifications for Weather

Yandex Weather can send web push notifications directly to your browser — no app installation required. It's a convenient way to stay up to date with weather conditions: the service will send you a forecast in the morning and evening so you can plan your day. Notifications are delivered while the browser is open or running in the background.

## Available notification types {#types}

- **Today's weather** — a push notification arrives in the morning with the forecast for the current day: air temperature, precipitation probability, and wind speed.
- **Tomorrow's weather** — a push notification arrives in the evening with the forecast for the next day: air temperature, precipitation probability, and wind speed.

{% note info %}

Notifications are only delivered when the browser is open or running in the background.

{% endnote %}

## How to enable notifications {#enable}

1. Click the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the site.
1. In the "Notifications" section, enable the desired type: **"Today's weather"** and/or **"Tomorrow's weather"**.
1. The browser will show a permission prompt — click **"Allow"**.

{% note info %}

For notifications to work, they must be enabled both in the browser and in your device's system notification settings. If notifications don't appear, check your OS notification settings and make sure notifications are enabled for your browser.
