Translation models
Select a translation model for your task:

Quick translation: A basic model for everyday tasks. Best for short phrases and simple texts.

Translate AI: An advanced model with better context awareness that produces higher-quality translations of complex or lengthy texts.
The model selector is located in the text input field. Tap it to choose the desired model.
Translate AI limitations
Note
To use this model, log in to your Yandex account.

This model allows a limited number of translation requests. When you reach the limit, a notification appears at the bottom of the screen showing the date and time when access will resume.

This model takes slightly longer to process translations.

How to clear entered text
To clear the text you entered, swipe left on the text field or tap next to the source text.
How to clear translation history
On the Text tab, tap Translation history, then tap and select Clear history.
To delete a specific translation, swipe left on it.
How to copy a translation
To copy a translation, tap the text or .
My keyboard is missing the language I need
If your keyboard doesn't include the language you need, download another keyboard from your app store. You can try Yandex Keyboard. It has 100+ languages and a built-in translator.
Voice input
To start, tap and speak. You need to select your language manually before using voice input.
Note
Voice input requires an internet connection. It doesn't work offline.
Speech recognition isn't accurate
We're constantly working on improving speech recognition. We hope Yandex Translate will catch your every word in the future!

For most languages, the app uses system speech recognition.
Voice input doesn't work offline. Make sure your device is connected to the internet and try again.

Text-to-speech
To listen to the entered text or its translation, tap next to it.
Note
Tap the button again to play the audio at half speed.
Change the playback voice
You can adjust the text-to-speech settings, change the speech rate and pitch, or select a different voice or accent in your device's system settings.
Typically, you can find them here: System → Languages and voice input → Text-to-speech. The exact path may vary depending on your device.
Wrong pronunciation
If a word is pronounced incorrectly, try changing the playback voice.
Text-to-speech doesn't work
For most languages, the app uses voices from your device.
Go to the System section → Language and Input → Speech Synthesis and make sure you have the necessary language dictionaries installed.

Translation errors
Translation error
If you encounter a mistake in a translation or in a dictionary, describe it in the chat or using the form below. To do this:

Copy the original text that you translated.

Attach a screenshot showing the translation or the dictionary entry.

If you don't see this button, delete the entered text
