Offline mode
The Yandex Translate app translates offline to Russian and back from: Azerbaijani, Armenian, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, English, Estonian, French, German, Greek, Italian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian, Spanish, Tajik, Tatar, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
To download offline translations, do the following:
- Go to Settings.
- In the Download offline translation menu, choose a language pair and tap
. Wait for the files to download. - Turn on offline mode.
All offline dictionaries are bidirectional. To translate, for example, from Russian to English, download the “English-Russian” offline dictionary. The size of each package is displayed next to its name.
FAQ
The app can work without an internet connection if you turn on offline mode and have language packages downloaded beforehand.
Make sure you turned on offline mode in Settings.
If offline mode is enabled but the translation files are still not working, please contact our support team.
