Telegram bot

Connect a Telegram bot that will start communicating with your users. You can set up use cases for the Telegram bot to interact with your current or prospective customers.

Creating a bot

If you don't have a bot, create one following these instructions:

  1. Type /start.
  2. Type /newbot.
  3. Name the bot (name) and assign it an internal address (username). The internal address must end with "bot". You can use underscores. For example, test_bot.
  4. Copy the bot's token.

Connecting a bot

To connect a Telegram bot:

  1. Go to Incoming integrations.
  2. Click  Telegram.
  3. Enter your bot's token in the Token field.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. You don't need to fill in the TTL field. Its value will be generated automatically. Fill in the Owner and Description fields, and click Create.

Integration status

To check the integration status, click  Telegram. After being added, the default integration status is Turned off. To start the Telegram bot, click Turn on, then click Save.

Checking a bot

Make sure your bot is working properly. To do this, go to Telegram and type /start in the dialog with the bot.

Deleting a bot

To delete a Telegram bot, click Delete.
