Search suggestions
When the site visitor types their search query, the Yandex Site Search form shows them suggestions.
To set up search suggestions, select the search on the My search boxes page and go to Search suggestions. If you want to disable all suggestions, deselect the show suggestions in search bar option.
If the option is selected, your search form always shows suggestions that are selected for your site by Yandex. You can change their order and composition.
To set up suggestions, request a suggestion database for the search form language that you want.
Set up suggestions
Suggestions are configured for each language separately. For example, Russian suggestion settings only apply to the form whose code was generated for the Russian language.
The words in the search suggestions database can be in any language (for example, Russian users can search for English names).
When you configure suggestions, you set the order of suggestions for query prefixes (initial letters). Longer prefixes inherit the settings: if you set up suggestions for the “ya” prefix, suggestions for the “yan” prefix are also listed in a changed order.
To move a suggestion in the list, drag it.
