Recommendations for creating mail-outs
Email services filter emails and place the suspicious ones in the spam folder. If recipients rarely read your emails or report them as spam, mail-outs from your domain may be restricted.
Follow these recommendations to make sure your emails don't end up in the spam folder:
- Use a high-quality database of email addresses
-
- Don't buy email databases from other people — collect the addresses yourself.
- Always ask your subscribers for consent before sending them emails.
- Exclude a subscriber from your database as soon as they decline to receive emails.
- Try to avoid sharp increases in the number of subscribers as they may seem suspicious.
- Create your emails with care
-
- Make your headings clear and meaningful.
- Don't include false or misleading information in the emails.
- If you want subscribers to open your emails more often, add content that's interesting and useful to them.
- Don't send extremely short emails containing only advertisements. Emails without text may be blocked.
- Monitor mail-out frequency
- Don't send emails too often so your subscribers don't get tired of them.
- Don't hide the unsubscribe link
- If a recipient can't find a way to unsubscribe quickly, they mark the email as spam.
