Disabling family search

If you have a problem disabling Family search:

  1. Disable the family filter in Search settingsSearch settings again.
  2. Clear the browser cache.
  3. Delete Yandex cookies. To do this, go to Yandex.Internetometer and click Delete cookies at the bottom of the page.

If Family search wasn't enable in Yandex settings, but in an external application or browser extension:

  • Check if “Parental control” is enabled in “Kaspersky lab”. Disable it.
  • Check if the Yandex.DNS family mode is configured on your device or in the network. You can't disable family search when using it. To select a different mode, use these instructions or contact your system administrator.
    Tip. On devices with the Windows operating system, after you have disabled the family DNS, we recommend that you run the ipconfig /flushdns command.
  • If you use NetPolice or Safety Minder, temporarily close these programs. They may affect search settings.
