Troubleshooting

How often is domain ownership checked?

After a domain is connected to Mail Office, the robot first attempts to open a unique file on the site once every 5 minutes, then once every 10 minutes, then once every 15 minutes, etc. in order to reduce the load on both third-party servers and Yandex servers.

What is the correct way to enter the domain name: with www or without?

If you perform a mailing campaign with the mail@my-site.tld address specified in the “From” field of messages, you have to connect the my-site.tld domain, without www.The domain name must fully match the name specified in the email address. If www is present in the email address, you have to connect the www.my-site.tld domain.

The my-site.tld domain is connected. Will I see statistics for the SUB.my-site.tld sub-domain?

Domain statistics do not currently include statistics of mailing campaigns originating from sub-domains of a connected domain. You have to connect each sub-domain at any level separately.

Why is a site needed to confirm domain ownership?

Confirmation of domain ownership is currently implemented using a unique file that has to be published on the site.

If there is no site on the domain being connected, ownership can be confirmed using the Yandex.Webmaster or Yandex.Mail for Domains services — they offer tools for confirming ownership via DNS settings. As soon as domain ownership is confirmed there, it appears in Post Office. In this case, you do not necessarily have to use the Mail service itself; you can only confirm ownership.

In the future, we will try to provide additional methods for confirming domain ownership in Post Office.

How do I confirm ownership of a domain if it has no site?

As soon as domain ownership is confirmed there, it appears in Post Office. In this case, you do not necessarily have to use the Mail service itself; you can only confirm ownership.

A domain or address is connected, but statistics are not displayed

The system starts gathering data on mailing campaigns performed from a connected domain only after the domain has been connected to Post Office and after domain ownership rights have been confirmed. If you performed a mailing campaign before connecting the domain to the service and recipients have read all messages, the mailing campaign data will not appear in the statistics until the next mailing campaign.

Also note that statistics include data on mailing campaigns targeting more than 100 recipients.

What mailing campaigns are considered major?

Post Office statistics include data on mailing campaigns targeting more than 100 recipients.
