Manage your account

On the Account management page you can:

Add a new photo

You can choose a photo to display on Yandex services:

  1. On the Account management page, hover over the photo and click .
  2. Upload an image:
    • From a computer — click Upload and select a file.
    • Via a direct link — enter the address and click .
  3. Click Save.
Change personal information

By default, your profile displays the information that you provided during registration. You can change it:

  1. On the Account management page, click Change personal information.
  2. Enter your first and last name, date of birth, and gender (optional).
  3. Specify your country, city, and time zone. This will help Yandex show information relevant to you, such as the local weather forecast, upcoming events, and traffic jams in your city.
  4. Click Save.
Specify a name for comments

You can set a different first and last name for comments and reviews. It doesn't require changing your name and other personal information provided during registration. But it will make it more difficult to restore access to your account.

To select a name to display on Yandex services:

  1. Hover over Name for comments and reviews and click .
  2. In the window that opens, select a name from the list or click Other and enter a custom name.
  3. Click Save.
Set your profile address

To make your profile easier to find and promote, you can set a memorable address:

  1. Hover over Public address and click .
  2. Type the address or choose from the suggested ones. You can use numbers and Latin characters.

    You can only change your profile address twice.

  3. Click Save.
Change your password and set up authorization

In the Passwords and authorization section on the Account management page you can:

View your login and device history

In the Login and device history section on the Account management page you can:

  • View locations and devices you used to log in, and changes in settings. If you see an action you didn't perform, hover over it and click That's not me.
  • View devices, services, and accounts that can access your Yandex account. To deny access, select a device or an app and click Remove.
  • Log out of your account on all devices if you suspect that your account was hacked.
Provide data for access restoration

You can add data for additional account protection and access restoration in the Mailboxes and phone numbers section on the Account management page:

Link your social network account
Linking your social account lets you quickly log in to Yandex without a password:
  1. In the Social networks section, click Add account.
  2. Select the social network icon.
  3. Log in to your social network if you have not signed in yet using your current browser.
  4. Allow access to your public data if your social network account is not yet known to Yandex.
  5. Click Continue.
