Delivery terms settings for typical situations

The delivery period for your region is unknown

Specify the “custom” status for these products. This means that the delivery period will be negotiated with the buyer on an individual basis (the delivery period should not exceed two months).

  • If the local delivery terms are specified in your personal account, then use one of the following methods:

    • Select the “custom” option when configuring the rate:

      This method is suitable if you are able to combine products with an unspecified delivery period into groups that share a common feature (weight, price, category, etc.).

    • Specify the delivery period for the group of products as a whole, and for individual offers with an unknown delivery period assign the available element the value false in your price list.

  • If the local delivery terms are specified in the price list, use a corresponding element with an empty value or a value of 32 or more.

The delivery period for another region is unknown

Specify the “custom” status in your personal account for these products. This means that the delivery period will be negotiated with the buyer on an individual basis (the delivery period should not exceed two months).

The delivery rates to other regions are unknown

If you have not specified any data about delivery rates to other regions, then specify the delivery service that you partner with. In this case Market users will see the note “Verify the delivery terms and cost at the time of order”.

The settings can be accessed for each region or group of regions on the Delivery service tab:

Select the Another service option if you cannot find the desired service in the list.

Attention. If you do not configure rates for the regions and do not specify a delivery service, then they will not be displayed in the regions.
Note. If you know the delivery rates for the regions and have specified them, you can optionally add delivery services.

No courier delivery option for the store's local region

Configure local courier delivery terms in your personal account. You can indicate that no courier delivery is available for individual products by using one of the following methods:

  • Select the “No courier delivery” option when configuring the rate:

    This method is suitable if you are able to combine products that lack delivery options into groups that share a common feature (weight, price, category, etc.).

  • Specify the delivery terms for the group of products as a whole, and for individual offers that have no delivery option assign the delivery element the value false in your price list.

Note. If the customer is able to pick up the product at the retail store, configure the customer pickup option.

No courier delivery option for another region

Specify the “No courier delivery” option for the region in question.

Attention. Check the of Service delivery tab: it should not specify any delivery services, or otherwise customers will be offered courier delivery options (without exact delivery terms and costs).
Note. If you deliver products to this region, but only to retail stores located there, configure the customer pickup option.

You want to disable courier delivery for a region

The option to disable courier delivery by region is available in your personal account. This can be useful in the following types of situations:

  • The store has been discovered to have delivery errors. In order to ensure that your Market publishing is not taken down, the store can turn off delivery to those regions where errors have been found until it finds a solution.

  • Rates for the region have changed a lot, and time is needed to update them.

  • The store does not wish to display a courier delivery option on Yandex.Market for a particular region (for all products at once).

In order to disable courier delivery, go to Connections and setup → Shipping options:

  1. Select the desired region.

  2. Check the To suspend the screening of the proposals option under the rates table.

  3. Click the Save button.

If customer pickup is configured for the selected region, users will see the product offer with the option to pick up the product themselves from a retail store or pickup point. If there is no customer pickup option, product offers aren't displayed for this region.

The store offers nationwide free postal shipping for its products

  1. Create several regions according to the following principle: each region has approximately the same delivery period.

  2. For each region in the Their rates tab select “single rate”, enter the delivery terms, and select the “Free” option. For remote regions you can specify the “custom” option.

    Note. Do not forget to factor the number of days that you need to assemble the order and deliver it to the post office in the delivery period.
  3. Check the “Russian Post” option on the of Service delivery tab.

Attention. When you configure the settings this way, customers will be able to select postal shipping for all of your offers.

The store delivers to remote regions according to the delivery service rates (which are not known in advance), but free shipping starts at XXX  rubles

  1. In the Their rates tab select one of the rates with a price breakdown — “Price”, “Weight and price”, or “Category and price”:

    • In the first line specify “ up to XXX rubles and the “No courier delivery” option

    • in the second line specify “from XXX rubles and the “Free” option.

  2. On the of Service delivery tab you must select the delivery service that you partner with.

The following delivery terms will be shown:

  • For products that cost up to XXX rubles — “Verify the delivery terms and cost at the time of order”. The delivery service is specified in the additional information section.

  • For products that cost at least XXX rubles — “Free, X days”. These delivery terms and delivery service are specified in the additional information section.

The store only delivers items that cost more than XXX  rubles to remote regions

  1. Select the “Price” rate for the desired region in the Their rates tab

    • In the first line specify “up to XXX rubles and the “No courier delivery” option

    • in the second line specify “from XXX rubles and the delivery cost.

  2. Make sure that no delivery services are selected in the of Service delivery tab. If certain services have already been selected, then uncheck them.

For products that cost at least XXX rubles the customer will be able to select a delivery option.

For products that cost up to XXX rubles no delivery options will be offered. Only customer pickup will be shown (if it has been configured for this region). If customer pickup is not configured, the offers will not be shown at all.

The delivery rates differ for various brands and depend on the order size

You cannot directly configure rates for a brand or order amount. Possible solutions:

  • Use the “Category and price” rate when configuring your brands (the product price can act as a way of distinguishing between brands).

  • Categorize the desired brands into separate categories and select the “Category” rate. For example: a “Smartphones” category with a delivery cost of 300 rubles and an “iPhone” category with free delivery.

  • Specify the dimensional weight and not the gross weight in the weight element.
