Market for partners

Regular verification tests

Yandex.Market is a popular service for choosing products and stores. It was not easy to achieve these results and win the trust of users. The quality control team helps us maintain the level we have achieved. The team constantly monitors stores published on Market to make sure they provide the level of service that our users expect. For this purpose, the quality team performs regular verification tests of how stores comply with the overall requirements of publishing on the service that are published at http://partner.market.yandex.ru/legal/rm/.

Members of the quality team, playing the role of customers, make test orders and control purchases. However, they only check offers that are published on Market or described in the store's price list.

In addition, automatic verification of the store is performed.

Attention!

Verification tests take into account any delays in updating information on the site.

An error that may occur when there is a delay between your price list being updated and indexed by Yandex.Market is re-checked in the price list that is uploaded after the error was found, and the error is assigned to the store only if it is confirmed.

Verification by quality control team members

Stores are checked in the following way:

  • Visual

This test is performed without making an order. A team member thoroughly studies and checks the information specified in the Partner interface and given on the store's website.

The date and time of testing are given in error messages.

  • Over the phone (for stores that have online ordering from the website)

A team member makes an order using the phone number shown on the store's website. The goal of the test is to detect any discrepancies in information about product price and availability that is given in the Partner interface and over the phone.

The error message states the date and time of the call, as well as the name of the store manager, if the manager introduced himself clearly.

  • From the shopping cart (for stores that have online ordering from the website)

A team member makes an order on the store's website and waits for a response within four business hours, excluding weekends and holidays. Order confirmation may be a call from the store manager or email with information about product availability and possible delivery dates. Automatically generated emails are not accepted as order confirmation.

The error message specifies the date and time the order was made, and the order number, if it was assigned.

  • Complete (for stores that have online ordering from the website)

An order is made from the shopping basket on the store's website. If there was no response to the order within four business hours, a team member calls the store to find out why there was no response.

The error message specifies the date and time the order was made, the order number, or the date and time of the call made to the store.

  • Over the phone (for retail stores)

A team member requests information using the phone number shown on the store's website. The store does not pass verification if the employee is not able to get information about product availability.

The error message states the date and time of the call, as well as the name of the store manager, if the manager introduced himself clearly.

  • By surveying users over the phone (for stores participating in the “Market Ordering” program)

A team member calls users who canceled an order and finds out why the order was canceled. If it is discovered that the store is passing false information on cancelled orders, it might be excluded from the “Market Ordering” program.

Automatic verification tests

  • The Yandex.Market robot checks the store's site availability (for stores with online ordering from the website).

  • If the store participates in the Market Ordering program, the robot checks via the API:

    • The store's ability to accept and process orders (completing control orders).

    • Store availability.
    • Correct authorization of Yandex.Market by the store.
    • Resolution of request processing errors (if any were found).

If the store does not pass verification, it is automatically excluded from the program. For more information about verification via the API, see the section in the Developer's guide.

Attention! When a shop is automatically disabled for errors processing requests via the API, only the “Market Ordering” program is disabled. The shop continues being published on Yandex.Market.
