How to construct offers for the “Детская одежда и обувь (Children's clothing and shoes)” category

Tip. To more effectively distribute your orders across product profiles, enter your data in YML format.

Required parameters

For children's clothing and shoes you must specify:

Product category.
Product name.
Product size (if applicable).
At least one product image.

Without these parameters, the offer won't be published on Yandex.Market.

Name

A product name must be entered for all offers.

How to enter a product name:

Fill in the field name. The product name must contain the product type, manufacturer, and product model name. Example:

In the offer element, fill in the nested name element. This element must contain the product type, manufacturer, and product model name. Example:

model — Product model name

Instead of containing the model name, the header contains data that should be specified in the elements param (color, gender, size). The system won't be able to correlate this offer with a product profile, and the offer won't be displayed in the correct category.

Size

Size and a sizing system must be included for all products to which size is applicable (for example, for clothing and footwear). For products without different sizes (for example, sunglasses or scarves), you don't need to include size or a sizing system.

How to indicate size and sizing system:

How to indicate a sizing system

The sizing system is indicated using a code or word that corresponds to the measurement type. The following sizing systems can be indicated:

Height — Height in centimeters (recommended).
Years — age in years
Months — Age in months

Round — Circumfurence in centimeters

DE — Germany

If you want to specify the size used by a specific manufacturer, then enter the sizing system using BRAND (for example, <param name="Размер" unit="BRAND">26</param>). You also need to send the size tables for the sizing system to the support service. In this case, the sizes will be converted using the sizing system from the manufacturer that you specified in the product offer description.

If you use a nonstandard sizing system, you should also send a description and size chart to the support service. We will add it to our sizing systems to allow correctly detecting the sizes of your products.

Common errors

The following are the most common mistakes that stores make when indicating size, and result in offers not ending up in product profiles:

The store doesn't specify the size or sizing system.
The store doesn't include the size in the description or offer name.
The store enters the size or sizing system incorrectly. Example:

The store specifies the incorrect product category, which doesn't have the size that is needed. For example, you can't specify a height of 74 cm for a product in the category “Комбинезоны для мальчиков (Boys jumpsuits)”. A product of this size must be placed in the “Комбинезоны для малышей (Baby jumpsuits)” category.
The store enters extra, unnecessary information. For example, all the sizes are separated by a comma or the size is entered as:

Images

You must enter at least one product image for clothing and shoes.

You can enter up to 10 images for each offer, in which case the first image will be considered the default image and will be displayed in Yandex.Market search results. The other images will be published only in the product profile.

When uploading images, we recommend following these guidelines:

The image may not include any information about the price of the model, discounts, the brand or store name, the phone number of the store, or any other distracting text.
The product should be shown in the same color as is specified in the offer description (for example, for a red dress, passing an image of the same model, but in green, is not recommended).
For clothing, the image may be a photograph of the product on a mannequin or model (in the latter case, be careful not to cut part of the model out of the photograph — head, ears, hands, feet, and so on).
The first image should show the product in full, not just a part of the product (such as a collar or pocket). Photographs depicting individual parts of a product are better placed among the later images (for example, a close-up image of a material or embroidered design).
The product must be shown on a light background. Images on transparent backgrounds are not supported.
The image size must be at least 250 pixels on each side and no more than 800 pixels on the largest side.

Manufacturer

Indicate the manufacturer or brand name so that Yandex.Market can correlate the offer with a product profile. If the manufacturer is not specified, your offer will only be available in search results.

How to indicate the manufacturer:

Color

Specify the product color so that the offer is included in results filtered by color on the category page.

Unusual color names (for example, algae green) are not accepted.

For a multi-colored product, specify the predominant color. If you specify multiple colors, the product won't be included in results filtered by color.

For a product with a pattern, you should specify the predominant color, then specify the type of pattern in the additional element <param name=" Узор">:

Product versions in different colors and sizes

If you have several offers that are versions of one product in different colors and/or sizes, then in the YML file you need to create a description for each version in a separate <offer> element, each corresponding to a single size and color.

To be sure that each version is included in the correct product profile, use the group_id attribute in the offer description. The attribute value must be an integer with no more than 9 digits. The same value must be entered in the group_id attribute for all offers corresponding to a single product. Moreover, that value must not be used for any offers that do not correspond to that same product. For example, if a jumpsuit that you sell is available in three different colors and each color is available in four sizes, then you should create descriptions for 12 offers, and in each of them indicate the same group_id.

For each version of a given model, you should enter the URL of the page on the store's site corresponding to that specific version, and should also provide images displaying the correct color.

Attention. If you pass your price list in YML format, follow the requirements for YML files when generating links. Replace the symbol & with the equivalent character code — &.

Gender

Specify the gender for which the product is intended to ensure that the offer is included in the correct category and in the correct product profile.

How to indicate gender:

Products for which gender is specified as either унисекс (unisex) or для мужчин и женщин (for men and women) are published in the category “Одежда и обувь для мальчиков (Clothing and shoes for boys)”.

Age

Indicate that the product is intended for children to ensure that the offer is included in the correct category and in the correct product profile.

The following values are allowed: детский (children's) and для малышей (for babies).

Children's clothing and shoes only include products intended for customers under 16 years of age. Products for women and men over 16 years of age should be published in the categories “Женская одежда (Women's clothing)”, “Мужская одежда (Men's clothing)”, “Женская обувь (Women's shoes)”, and “Мужская обувь (Men's shoes)”. Recommendations for these categories are described in a separate section.

Composition

Enter information about the composition of the product (the materials contained in the product and their relative percentages), so that the offer is included in results filtered by composition on the category page.

How to indicate the composition:

Specify the season (the seasons for which the product is intended) so that the offer is included in results filtered by season on the category page.

You can specify any season: зима (winter), весна (spring), лето (summer), осень (autumn). If the product is intended for multiple seasons or for year-round use, specify each season in a separate element:

Using values such as “demi-season” or “off-season” is not recommended. This information won't be included in the product profile.

Other important parameters

Additional information about an offer (for example, skirt length) can be specified in the field param (Excel, CSV) or in the param element (YML). The value of the name attribute must be the name of the additional parameter (for example, “Длина рукава” — sleeve length), and the contents of the element must be the value of this parameter.

Sportswear and athletic shoes

For products in the “Детская спортивная одежда (Children's sportswear)” category, you can specify a sport.

Outerwear

Insulation type.
Fastener type.
Water repellence.
Removable parts (for example, hoods and linings).
Fur trim.
Reflective parts and other such features.

Footwear

For products in the “Детская обувь (Children's shoes)” category, you shouldn't specify a composition for the entire product. Instead, you should specify the materials of its component parts (upper, lining, insole, and sole). You should also indicate specifications (for example, a membrane or removable insole).
