Changing a block

  1. Go to the list of scripts: Products → Instream scripts.
  2. In the list of scripts, select  → Edit next to the desired script.
  3. On the card for the desired block, click Edit.
  4. Make changes and click Save.
  5. At the bottom of the script setup page, click Save again.

Changes to the minimum CPM threshold and subject and brand settings take effect automatically (without reinstalling the code) within 30 minutes after saving. If you change your ad code, you must manually reinstall the code in the player.

If you want to change the position of the block (pre-roll/mid-roll/post-roll/pause-roll/in-roll/overlay), create a new block.

Displaying your ad in a video block

By installing your ad code inside the video block code, you can display ads from other advertising systems in the same ad space or add a placeholder in case there is no suitable offer for display. The number of ad impressions depends on the specified minimum CPM threshold.

Add code in Your ad code on the Strategytab. Your ad code must contain a VAST-compatible template with Wrapper support.

The part of the code required to display your ad will be generated and added to the ad code automatically. Please note that after saving the block, you must manually reinstall the code in the player.

Regional settings

You can limit the display of video ads for users of a resource from a specific region on the Area tab.

Select one or more regions in the regional hierarchy and set the CPM threshold in rubles without VAT in the CPM field. Nested regions inherit the CPM threshold from the top-level region.

Subject settings

You can limit the display of video ads of a certain subject on the Subjectstab.

Select one or more categories in the list of subjects and set the CPM threshold in rubles (without VAT) in the CPM field. Subcategories inherit the CPM threshold from the parent category.

If the list does not contain the desired subject, contact support.

Restricting the display of certain brands

You can restrict the display of ads for certain brands (like competitors' brands) on the Brandstab. This setting only works for display and video ads provided by the Yandex Display Advertising System and external DSPs. We get a list of brands from our partner TNS Russia.

To add an advertiser or brand to the list of restrictions, start typing its name in the entry field. In the drop-down suggestions, select the desired brand. For the selected brand, set the CPM threshold in rubles (without VAT) or select Block.

If you do not find the desired brand in the list, contact support.

General resource settings

Note that all the settings that you set for the video resource work in Instream scripts.

Disabling and deleting a video block

If you aren't using a video block, you can temporarily disable it or delete it altogether. Please note that you cannot delete a restored block.

To temporarily disable a block:
  1. Go to the list of scripts: Products → Instream scripts.
  2. In the list of scripts, select  → Edit next to the desired script.
  3. Find the block in the list and switch it off.
To delete a block:
  1. Go to the list of scripts: Products → Instream scripts.
  2. In the list of scripts, select  → Edit next to the desired script.
  3. On the card for the desired block, click Delete.

To see video block statistics:

  1. Go to the list of scripts: Products → Instream scripts.
  2. In the list of scripts, select  → Edit next to the desired script.
  3. On the card for the desired block, select  → Statistics.
