Changing blocks

  1. Go to the script list: Products → Instream Scripts.
  2. In the script list, select  → Edit next to the desired script.
  3. Click Edit on the card of the desired block.
  4. Make your changes and click Save.
  5. Click Save again at the botton of the script setup page.

Changes to the minimum CPM threshold, theme, and brand settings are applied automatically (without re-inserting the code) within 30 minutes of saving. If your ad code changes, you need to manually re-insert the code in the player.

If you want to change the block placement (pre-roll/mid-roll/post-roll/pause-roll/overlay), create a new block.

Showing your ads in a video block

Embedding your ad code inside the code of a video block lets you display ads from other advertising networks in the same ad space or insert a placeholder image when there aren't any suitable offers. The number of impressions you get for your ad depends on the minimum CPM threshold.

Add the code in the Custom ad code field on the Strategy tab. Your ad code should contain a VAST-compatible template that supports Wrapper.

The part of the code required to display your ads will be generated and inserted in the ad code automatically. Note that the code in the player has to be re-inserted manually after saving the block.

Location-based ad serving

You can restrict showing video ads to users from a specific geographic region on the Geography tab.

In the region tree, select one or more regions and use the CPM field to set the CPM threshold in rubles without VAT. The CPM threshold of a higher-level region is automatically applied to all its nested regions.

Category settings

Use the Categories tab to restrict showing ads on certain themes.

In the list of subjects, select one or more categories, and use the CPM field to set the CPM threshold in rubles (without VAT). The CPM threshold of a category is automatically applied to all its subcategories.

Restricting impressions for certain brands

Use the Brands tab to limit impressions for certain brands (for example, competitor brands). This setting only works for media ads and video ads provided by the Yandex media ad system or external DSP systems. The brand list is provided by TNS Russia.

To add an advertiser or brand to the blacklist, start typing their name in the designated field. Select the desired brand from the drop-down list. You can then set the brand's CPM threshold (in rubles, excluding VAT) or Block it.

General resource settings

Note that InStream scripts uses the same settings you gave for the video resource.

Disabling and deleting a video block

If you aren't using your video block, you can disable or permanently delete it. Keep in mind that you cannot remove a block you restored.

To disable a block temporarily:
  1. Go to the script list: Products → Instream Scripts.
  2. In the script list, select  → Edit next to the desired script.
  3. Find the block in the list and disable it with the toggle.
To permanently delete a block:
  1. Go to the script list: Products → Instream Scripts.
  2. In the script list, select  → Edit next to the desired script.
  3. Click Delete on the card of the desired block.

View video block statistics:

  1. Go to the script list: Products → Instream Scripts.
  2. In the script list, select  → Edit next to the desired script.
  3. On the desired block's card, select  → Statistics.
