Creating an InStream script

Use the visual code designer to create video blocks in the Yandex Advertising Network interface. The designer allows you to configure a block and obtain the required code to place on a website.

To add a video block, you first need to create an InStream script and then create a block inside that script. You need to create a separate block for each position.

  1. Create a VMap
  2. Creating a block

Create a VMap

  1. Go to the script list: Products → Instream Scripts.
  2. Click Create script.
  3. Come up with a script name.
  4. Specify a resource from the list (a website or a website section) to place the script in.

Creating a block

  1. On the script page, click Add block and select block position. Note the applicable restrictions.
  2. On the General tab, select the maximum duration of an ad block display and the maximum number of ads in a block from the list. Specify the block start time against the main video content for the Mid-roll scenario. Click Continue.

  3. On the Strategy tab, specify the Minimum CPM threshold for the block. You can also insert your own ad call code to display ads from other advertising networks within the same ad space or to insert a placeholder image when there aren't any good RTB auction offers for impressions. Click Continue.

  4. Go to the Ad platforms tab, select the desired platforms, and set the frequency limit for impressions. Click Save.

A unique ID will be assigned to the block after it is saved and the block will be displayed in the list of video blocks. A block ID (ID) consists of a product ID (R-V), platform ID (page_id) and the block's serial number.

If you want to change the block placement (pre-roll/mid-roll/post-roll/pause-roll/overlay), create a new block.
