Additional settings

Sites on the Yandex Advertising Network can serve targeted ads suited to the individual interests of each user as well as ads with images.

Behavioral targeting

You can enable or disable behavioral advertising in your site settings.

  1. Go to Ads on websites → Sites and ad units.
  2. Click Edit in the line with the desired site. In the form that opens, go to Settings and turn the Behavioral targeting toggle on or off.

Note

By disabling behavioral targeting, you make it more difficult for the system ability to serve ads that actually interest your users, and this can reduce revenue from ad placement.

All changes to settings automatically take effect two hours after saving them.

Displaying images in Yandex Direct ads

When photos, relevant images, and logos are used in ads, users are more likely to notice ads that interest them and understand what is being offered more quickly. Images in ad units make the ads more clickable, which means they could also influence your site revenue.

Example of an ad with an image

Image width and height depends on the type of ad unit. Image formats: JPG/JPEG, PNG, GIF (only the first frame is selected for animated images). Average file size: 20 KB.

The same ad unit can contain both ads with images and text ads.

To disable or enable images on a specific site:

  1. Go to Ads on websites → Sites and ad units.
  2. Click Edit in the line with the desired site. In the form that opens, go to Settings and turn the Display images toggle on or off.

All changes to settings automatically take effect two hours after saving them.
