Participation rules and technical requirements

Notify us if you come across a site or an app that does not comply with the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network. Describe the violation detected so that we can investigate the matter.

We do not recommend using the help of people or organizations offering increased CTR, clicks, site audience, revenue, etc. In most cases, their employed methods are prohibited and may lead to your account being blocked. Moreover, they might perform actions without your knowledge or consent. Usually they require you to share a portion of the additional revenue that you could earn from their actions.

In such cases, all risk is borne by the resource owner. The owner not only loses money, but will be permanently banned from the Yandex Advertising Network due to violations of the Rules of participation, which prohibit the use of systems that artificially boost impressions and click-throughs. Remain diligent and skeptical of all offers for quick and easy money.

We do not recommend artificially attracting more users to pages containing Yandex ads, as an increase in incoming traffic to your site could lead to invalid impressions and clicks. According to our Rules of participation, our partners are prohibited from directly or indirectly creating artificially contrived queries, impressions, and clicks. Keep in mind that any use of services that attract additional users to earn money for impressions or clicks as well as any use of automated click and view exchange programs will negatively affect our advertisers and could cause your site to be permanently blocked from the Yandex Advertising Network.

We recommend against using other services that attract additional users to pages of your site. A much more effective strategy for your site would be to add new pages with original and interesting content so that users would actually want to repeatedly visit your site. As a rule, this increases the number of users, helps you create a loyal audience, and increases your revenue.

Unfortunately, blocked accounts cannot be restored. Keep in mind that these measures were taken only after a thorough analysis, which revealed a threat to the security of our advertisers' ad materials on sites registered under your account.

You can place ad units from other ad systems on the same page as Yandex ad units. However, in accordance with the Rules of participation of the Yandex Advertising Network, ad units from other systems must be different from Yandex ad units (they must be designed in a different format and with a different color scheme). Ad code from other content-based advertising systems must not interfere with the execution of ad code from the Yandex Advertising Network and must not in any way affect the displayed ads.

Note that Yandex Advertising Network units can display advertising from other systems (alternative advertising in Yandex Direct units or your own advertising in ad units).

According to the Rules of participation for the Yandex Advertising Network, partners shall not modify Yandex ad unit code in any way.

In addition, partners shall not:

• Modify hyperlink addresses contained in ads or use any other means to modify Yandex-defined user redirects from ads, substitute or use any other means to hinder user access to pages or sites specified in hyperlinks within ads.

• Delete, edit, or displace an ad or page containing an ad, apply filters to it, modify the order, type, or other characteristics of ad display.

If any of these rules are violated, a partner account on the Yandex Advertising Network may be blocked.

Yandex does not inspect any external scripts. If any use of a script results in a violation of our Rules of participation, the Yandex Advertising Network partner's account may be blocked.
