Working with reports in the Yandex Advertising Network (old interface)
Note
Here you can learn about the old Report Builder interface. For information on the new interface, see Working with reports in the Yandex Advertising Network.
To switch to the new interface, click Statistics in the upper-right corner of the New Report Builder page.
Creating reports
To create a report, go to the Statistics tab in the Yandex Advertising Network interface.
Reports for a specific product (site, app, video resource, or ad unit) can also be opened from a page with the list of:
- Sites, for example: Ads on websites → Sites.
- Ad units, for example: Ads on websites → Ad units.
Find the site or ad unit you need in the list and click Statistics.
Step 1. Choose a report template or create a custom report
Select the appropriate report template from the list on the left. If there is no suitable template, choose a template that fits your needs best. You can specify the parameters later.
You can also create a report manually. To do this, click + New in the list of reports.

Step 2. Choose a currency
By default, all financial indicators are displayed in rubles. To change the currency of your report, use the drop-down menu at the top of the screen:

Note
If you receive remuneration in dollars or euros, the remuneration amount in the report may differ from the amount paid. This is because remuneration is calculated in rubles and converted into another currency at different rates:
- For statistics: At the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the day of the impression.
- For payment: At the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the last day of the reporting period.
Example of calculating remuneration in dollars
Let's assume the partner receives remuneration in dollars. In September, they had the following impression count:
- September 9 — for 200 rubles
- September 16 — for 240 rubles
- September 23 — for 260 rubles
- September 30 — for 280 rubles
How monthly revenue is calculated in reports
|

|
September 16 |

How the payment is calculated
To pay remuneration, the partner's total monthly income (980 rubles) is converted to dollars at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Russia on the last day of the reporting period (September 30):
980 rubles / 70 rubles per $1 = $14
The difference between the remuneration amount in the report and the amount paid is $2.
Step 3. Set the time zone
By default, the time zone is the one that is set in your Yandex ID profile. To change the time zone, use the drop-down menu at the top of the screen:

The time zone you choose will be shown in the report name on the dashboard. If it's different from your current time zone, it will also appear in the report constructor.
When creating a new report, the time zone will automatically be set to the last one used in the system:
- Set in the report viewed.
- Selected in the report constructor.
Step 4. Specify the report dates
Select the report timeframe from the list at the top of the screen or specify the desired dates in the calendar.

If you wish to save your report, keep in mind the following:
- If you selected the dates via the calendar, the next time a report is generated, it will use the same dates.
- If you selected a report timeframe from the list, the next time a report is generated, it will use the current date as the start of the timeframe.
To compare reports from two different timeframes:
-
Specify the dates of the first timeframe in the calendar.
-
Enable the Compare option next to the calendar. Another calendar will then appear.
-
Use the second calendar to select the starting point of the second timeframe. The calendar automatically tracks dates for consistency (the timeframes must have same number of days with no date overlap). Because of this, you can only select the dates highlighted in black.
The end date will be calculated automatically.
Step 5. Set up filters, groups, and metrics
If you're using a template to create your report, the main parameters will be set automatically. You can always add new parameters or remove parameters that are already in place.
If you're creating a report from scratch, you will need to set all the parameters manually.
Filters define the data that your report will be based on. You can set filters for a specific app, ad unit, platform, and so on.
To add a filter:
- Click + Filters.
- Select the parameter you want to use to filter the data for your report (such as unit ID). To more easily find the parameter you need, simply start typing its name in the search bar or switch to the desired parameter group.
- Specify a value for your parameter.
Determine the parameters that the report data is grouped by.
To add a dimension parameter, click + Groups and select the parameter from the list.
When a report is generated, dimensions are applied in the order they're listed in the report settings. If you wish to edit the dimension rules, click and hold the dimension's name and drag it to where you want it.
Statistical metrics that you want to check for the selected data range.
To add a metric, click **** and select one from the list. You can check the metric's meaning in the Glossary orby hovering over + Metrics
next to the metric name.
The generated report shows the metrics in the order they're listed in the + Metrics line. If you wish to edit their order, click and hold the metric's name and drag it to the desired location.
Data limit on the chart
When choosing parameters, please keep in mind that the chart in your report may be incomplete if there is too much data. This restriction is applied to avoid issues when rendering charts.
For reports with a lot of data, all the rows in the table are sorted by the selected metrics in descending order and only the first 500 rows are taken into account when rendering the report chart. Moreover, the chart includes only those dimensions whose data for the selected period has made it into the first 500 rows. If a dimension's data is excluded from the first 500 rows, the dimension won't be shown in the chart at all.
If you wish to display all of the report's data on the chart, you can limit the amount of data listed in the report via filters, shorten the report period, or reduce the number of dimensions in the report. You don't need to limit the number of metrics used in the report, because they don't affect the number of rows displayed in the table.
Report limit example
Let's say a partner has 5 sites, with 5 ad units each — that's 25 ad units in total.
If you create a 30-day report for all 25 ad blocks, grouped by days and block ID, then the report table will include 750 rows.
Rendering all of this information on a line chart would require drawing 25 lines for each selected metric. However, if the 30-day chart is restricted to only 500 lines, so the complete chart will only be generated for the first 16 block ID values. The remaining 9 values will not be included in the chart.
Report setup example
Let's say you need to find out how much revenue you will generate from ad unit impressions in one week. To create this report:
-
Filter the data so that only ad units are displayed. To do this, click + Filters, switch to Product, and select Ad unit type. Select Ad units from the list.
-
Add the dimension by day: + Groups → By day. This way you can track the change in revenue and the number of impressions during the selected week.
-
Think about what parameters you want to group your income and impression data by other than days.
For example, to see which apps generate the most revenue, you can group the data by domain, ID, and app name. Add the following dimensions: Domain or Bundle ID, Site / App, App name / Site name.
-
Select the following metrics: Viewable impressions and Revenue.
The report settings fields will look like this:

Step 6. Click Create report
A chart and a data table will then appear at the bottom of the page.
Viewing reports
The report is available as a chart and a table.
To enlarge the viewing area, collapse the report list on the left. To do this, click the
button next to the report parameters.
You can view the chart as a line, bar, or pie chart. To switch the chart type, use the
buttons above the chart.
Line chart and bar chart
The horizontal axis displays the following information:
- For line charts: dimensions by period (days, weeks, months, years).
- For bar charts: dimension intersections (if there are multiple dimensions).
To remove a dimension from the chart, disable it in the dimension list on the right.
The metrics values are on the vertical axis. By default, only one metric is displayed on the chart right after it's been created. You can enable and disable metrics via the list located above the chart.
If the chart shows multiple metrics at once, you can enable the legend to make it clearer. Click
in the upper-right corner of the chart.
If you wish to view the exact value of a metric, hover your cursor over the corresponding row or column. A field with the name and value of the desired metric will then be displayed.
Pie chart
The pie chart shows the share of each dimension in the overall data volume. To remove a dimension from the chart, disable it in the dimension list on the right.
You can choose the table type:
- Simplified data table.
- Hierarchical table with grouped data.
Hierarchical tables display structured data, with low-level items nested inside higher-level items. Click
to switch from a simplified table to a hierarchical table. Click
if you want to switch back to the simplified table.
Click
in the column header to sort the table data:
- Parameters with a numeric value may be sorted in descending or ascending order.
- Parameters with a text value may be sorted alphabetically.
You can only sort data by one column at a time.
To reorder columns, change the order of metrics or dimensions in the report settings:
- Click and hold the name of the metric or dimension and drag it to where you want it.
- Click Update above the report settings.
Saving reports
To save the report parameters, use the following functions:
-
Save: Add the report with its current name to Saved in the list on the left.
-
Save as: Rename the report and add it to Saved.
-
Add to dashboard: Add a report widget to your dashboard. The report will also appear in the Saved tab.
-
: Saves the report on your computer in XLSX format. -
: Copy the report link and share it with others (only authorized Yandex Advertising Network users can view the report).
