Device requirements

Yandex Navigator is available for smartphones and tablets with iOS 15 and higher or Android 8 and higher.

If you downloaded Yandex Navigator to your Android 7 device, you can use app version 18.7 but updates will be unavailable. If you delete the app, you won't be able to download it to your Android 7 device again.

If you downloaded Yandex Navigator to your iOS 14 or lower device, you can redownload an older version of the app.

Download the app

You can download Yandex Navigator from Google Play or the App Store.

Find out the app's version

  1. Tap  (profile picture). If you haven't signed in, tap .

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Open About.

Update the app

Your device's operating system automatically detects when an update is available for the app and prompts you to install it. You can also update Yandex Navigator to the latest version manually:

  1. Open the Google Play app.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. Open Manage apps & device.
  4. Under Updates available, tap See details.
  5. Scroll to Yandex Navigator and tap Update.

Alternatively, you can go to the Yandex Navigator page in Google Play and tap Update.

Note

If you already have the latest version of Yandex Navigator, the Update button changes to Open.

  2. Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. Scroll to Yandex Navigator and tap Update.

If you already have the latest version of Yandex Navigator, the Update button changes to Open.

Delete the app

  1. On your mobile device, open the Google Play app.
  2. In the upper-right corner, tap your profile picture.
  3. Select Manage apps & device → Manage.
  4. Select Yandex Navigator, then tap in the upper-right corner.
  5. Tap Uninstall.
  1. On the device screen, tap and hold the Yandex Navigator icon.
  2. Tap Remove App → Delete App.

If you were logged in, your saved places and settings won't disappear after deleting the app. To use them again, reinstall the app and log in to the same account.

If you weren't logged in, your saved places and general settings will disappear after deleting the app.

All downloaded maps will also be deleted along with the app. You can download them again after reinstalling the app.

FAQ

The app won't open or keeps crashing when I'm trying to use it
  1. Update to the latest version of the app.
  2. If you're using an Android device, check if it has enough RAM. If it doesn't, close other applications.

I can't install or update the app

Check that your device meets hardware requirements for the app to run. If it does, but you still can't install or update the app, contact support.

The app is pre-installed on the device, and I can't remove it

Some manufacturers' devices already have Yandex Navigator pre-installed. You can't completely remove a pre-installed app, but you can disable it. In this case, the app will no longer run, update, or use your data.
