Offline maps: download, update, delete

You can save maps of cities and areas on your device: they are used to plot routes in offline mode. Map size ranges from 10 to 100 MB (depending on your region).

Download maps

  1. Tap Menu .

  2. Go to Settings → Download maps.

  3. Choose your city using one of the following methods:

    • Start entering the name of a city or region in the search bar and then select it when it appears in the suggestions.

    • Select the name of your city or region from the list under the search bar.

      The list is in alphabetical order (by country and then by city/region within each country).

      Note.

      If your city or region isn't in the list, please contact Support.

  4. You will see a message telling you how much memory the map will take.

    Tap Download.

    If your device has insufficient available memory, you will see a message informing you of this. You can go to your device's settings to free up memory if you need to.

    If you use a memory card, you can choose where to save the map: in the device memory or on the memory card.

Configure map updates

  1. Tap Menu .

  2. Go to Settings → Downloads → Map update.

  3. To download and update maps only when connected to a Wi-Fi network, enable the option Only on Wi-Fi.

    If you turn off this option off, maps may be updated and downloaded over either Wi-Fi or a cellular network

  4. To update maps you are using automatically, enable the Automatic option.

Delete map

  1. Tap Menu .

  2. Go to Settings → Downloads → Saved data → Clear cache.

  3. Confirm that you want to delete them in the form that appears.
