Tap Go! to activate step-by-step navigation.

Navigation features:

Visual tracking

The program displays the following route components:

  • The current route segment.

    To see the entire route, tap the bottom of the screen, and then tap Browse button in the panel that appears.

    To return to the current segment, tap the lower part of the screen and then hit Map .

    The following icons display along key route points:

    • — current location of your car as it moves along the route

    • — starting point

    • intermediary point;

    • — mid point of the route and the midpoints of route segments connecting intermediary points. These points can be dragged to new locations and the route will be reset in accordance with their new positions.

    • — destination

  • Route settings — distance to destination and estimated time of arrival:

  • Traffic on route:

  • Upcoming directions — type of upcoming direction and remaining distance (for example, "make a left turn in 250 meters):

Voice guidance

To turn on/off or adjust voice prompt settings:

  1. Tap on the lower part of the screen.

  2. Tap Menu .

  3. Select Sound .

  4. To turn voice prompts on, indicate if you'd prefer them to be read by a male or female voice

    Choose either the male or female name. For example, for Russian, select either Voice → Oxana or Voice → Dmitry.

    To disable voice prompts, select Voice → Disable

  5. Select your prompt language:

    • English

    • Russian

    • Ukrainian

    • Turkish

    • default — the default language will correspond to your current location. For example, Turkish will be set if you are in Turkey.


      If the program doesn't support your local language (for example, Finnish in Finland), then the voice guidance will launch in English.

You can also set up voice-activated control in the program so you can use voice commands with Yandex.Navigator.


To turn on/off or adjust alert settings:

  1. Tap on the lower part of the screen.

  2. Tap Menu .

  3. Select Sound .

  4. Choose Alerts.

  5. To activate event alerts, choose one of the following alert types:

    • Voice

    • Sound

    To stop receiving event alerts, choose No.

  6. Choose the types of road events that you want Yandex.Navigator to alert you of:

    • Accidents

    • Road work

    • Lane-monitoring camera

    • Speed-monitoring camera

    • User-added camera

  7. Choose the Allow to exceed limit option and set the number of km/hr that your current speed can exceed the limit monitored by cameras.

    Yandex.Navigator will warn you about speed cameras if you are exceeding the speed limit by more than the amount that you set.

Route changes

To change your route, you can set intermediary points along the way.

Additionally, if the app receives information about traffic changes and there is a better route option, then you'll see the message Quicker route available in the panel. Tap it to re-route.
