Road alerts

Road alerts are points on the map that correspond to reported events. For example, an accident is represented as .

Road alerts can also include user-added text messages (Conversations): .


All user information is removed from road alerts. In other words, such messages don't contain any identifying information about the user or his car.

To see and add road alerts, follow these instructions:

  1. Tap on the lower part of the screen to bring up the toolbar.

  2. Tap Menu.

  3. Go to Settings → Road alerts → Display on map.

  4. Choose a type of road alert.

To turn on/off or adjust voice warnings for road alerts:

  1. Tap on the lower part of the screen.

  2. Tap Menu .

  3. Go to Settings → Road alerts.

  4. To get voice warnings for road alerts, enable the Give audio warnings option.

  5. Choose the types of road alerts you want to be notified of.

    • — conversations
    • — accidents
    • — road works
    • — speed cameras
    • — bridges that are up
    • — traffic obstructed
    • — other

To add a road alert to the map:

  1. Tap Add road alert .

  2. Fill out the Event form:

    1. Choose the type of event:

    2. If you add an “Accident” or “Road works” event type, then select the traffic lane affected by the event (i.e. left, middle, or right) in the Choose lane field.
    3. In the Enter comment here field, enter whatever additional information you have about the event.

  3. Tap Set.

    The event will be added to the map. To see comments, tap on the event icon.
