Types and methods of subscription

Your subscription is linked to your account and covers both the web version of the service and the Yandex.Music app on your various devices.

You can buy a Yandex.Music subscription for a month or a year. You can only subscribe in a country where the service is available.

You can buy a Yandex Music subscription on the service's website or through our partners: App Store, Google Play store, or a mobile provider. In this case, Yandex Music only provides access to the track catalog, but it is the partner who manages, changes or cancels the subscription.

Note. You can activate two different subscriptions at the same time (if you pay for one in the App Store and the other on Google Play), but in this case the paid days will not accumulate.

Purchase a subscription

You can subscribe only in a country where the service is available. Select the country in which you are located:

  1. Click Subscribe and select the subscription period (month or year). For long-term use, it is better to select an annual subscription — it's cheaper than paying for a subscription month by month.
  2. Enter your bank card details and clickSubscribe .

The payment process usually takes 15–20 minutes. After the payment is received, you will get a receipt by email. We recommend saving your receipts, but even if you delete them your transaction history and payment methods will be available in settings on the Subscription tab.

To find out the status of your subscription:
  1. Go to the My music page and click Settings.
  2. On the settings page, go to the Subscription tab.

Trial period

The trial period is available if you meet the following requirements:

  • This is your first subscription for this account in the app or on the website.
  • You have subscribed for a month with automatic renewal.
  • You haven't used your Apple ID or Google account before to subscribe with any other Yandex Music account in the App Store or Google Play.
  • You didn't pay for your subscription via the Microsoft Store.

You can see how long the trial period will be when you subscribe. It depends on where you purchase the subscription.

If you do not like the service, you can cancel your subscription during the trial period, and you won't be charged for it. In the days remaining before the end of the month, you will have access to all the features of the service.

If you cancel your subscription during a three-month trial period, paid features will be disabled at the end of the current month. For example, if you activated a three-month trial period on March 1 and then turned off auto-renewal on March 20, the trial period will end on March 31.

Link a different card to pay for a subscription

If you have previously paid for a subscription via one bank card and now you want the money to be withdrawn from a different card, please link your new card in Yandex.Passport:

When the period paid for with the old bank card expires, money for subscription renewal will be withdrawn from the new card.

Check how you paid for your subscription:
  1. Go to the Subscription tab in the settings.
  2. Under Payment history, see which payment method is listed in the last line.

If you paid for a subscription through Google Play or the App Store, see the recommendations of Google or Apple.

Change the payment period or method

You can buy a Yandex.Music subscription for a month or a year. You can do this on the Yandex Music website, via the Yandex Music app, or in the App Store or Google Play. Your subscription will renew automatically: in a month or year, the price for the following month or year will be deducted from your account.

To change your subscription period or payment method:
  1. Wait until the period has ended.
  2. Select a different period or payment method.
Attention. If you pay for a new subscription before the previous one expires, the remaining days will be lost.
Note. Some types of subscriptions may not be available for renewal.

I was charged twice

If you accidentally used two different payment methods to pay twice for a subscription using the same account, contact customer support. Add a screenshot of your bank statement that shows the following information:
  • A portion of your card number — the first 6 and last 4 digits.
  • The payment date.
  • The recipient of the payment — Yandex.Music.

I paid for a subscription, but it doesn't work

Make sure that you are logged into the same account that you used when buying the subscription. If you don't remember your username or password for that account, use the recommendations in the Troubleshooting section of Yandex.Passport Help.

If you are using the correct account, try logging out of it and logging in again.
