Yandex users may perform various actions related to your business. For instance, they might view information about a store in Yandex.Maps and get directions to it. Some of these actions may attract potential customers, meaning they may be target events.

Statistics on actions are collected if your organization is in the Yandex Business Directory. If it isn't, add it.

An auto-generated tag is then created to send information about user interactions with your organization to Yandex.Metrica.

This tag is displayed on the My tags page under <Name of your organization> - <Address of the organization, if specified in Yandex Business Directory>.

Note. If it is a network organization and branches are added to the Yandex Business Directory, a single tag is created for them and statistics are collected for all branches.

Access to statistics in Yandex.Metrica

The organization's owner and their representatives in the Yandex Business Directory have guest access to view statistics. Tag editing access is not available.

To grant tag access to another user, give them representative access to the organization in the Yandex Business Directory. After that, access to the tag in Yandex.Metrica appears within a day.

Viewing statistics

You can view statistics:

  1. In the list of tags, select the tag with a name like <Name of your organization> - <Address of the organization, if specified in Yandex Business Directory>.
  2. Open the report Standard reports → Contents → Target events on Yandex. Learn more about the report.

Tracked events

Services and events they transmit information about are listed below. We are continually expanding the list of services. Events are counted from the full and mobile versions of sites, as well as in mobile apps.

  • Show phone number — clicks on the Phone button next to your organization.
  • Call — taps on the phone number in the mobile version and the app.
  • Place an order – clicks on the Place an order button next to your organization.
  • Open chat – clicks on the Chat button. Clicking it opens the Yandex.Messenger window.

Yandex.Metrica tracks the following actions:

Questions and answers

Can I delete an auto-generated tag from the list?

If you delete a tag from the list, you will lose access to the statistics it collected. To restore access, you will need to contact Support. This is why we do not recommend deleting a tag.

Can I install an auto-generated tag on my site?

We do not recommend placing these tags on a site, since you will not have access to edit it. This means statistics will be collected incorrectly.

Why does a tag have a red status?

For these tags, the status isn't relevant. It has to do with the specifics of installing tags on Yandex services. You can ignore the tag status.

Can I change the name of a tag?

No. Tag names are generated automatically.

What is the “Clicked Call” goal in the tag settings?

With this goal, Yandex.Metrica tracks clicks on the phone number in the organization's card, as well as taps on the icon in the mobile version of all services that transmit data to the organization's tag.

How do I correct goals in the tag settings?

You can't change the goals of an auto-generated tag.
