“Conversions” report

The Conversions section lets you view advanced statistics on goals. Here you can analyze metrics as well as create new goals and edit existing ones.

The following modes are available for displaying statistics:

  • Charts: Goal statistics are shown as charts, so you can track trends over time.

  • Metrics: Statistics are displayed as separate metrics for the selected measurements.

  • Statistics hidden: Goal statistics are not loaded or displayed. This helps the section load faster and keeps the interface simpler.

You can control the data display mode in reports using the button.

In the Statistics hidden mode, you can additionally enable statistics display for individual goals using a special icon.

Goal metrics

In the goals section, you can choose which metrics to display statistics for. To do this, click .

By default, the following metrics are selected:

  • Conversion rate

  • Conversions

  • Converted sessions

Additionally, you can select the following metrics:

  • Converted users

  • Conversions per user

  • Conversions per user

  • Revenue

Selected metrics can be used in the indicators and shown on the graph. To add or remove a metric on the graph, click it in the row of the goal you're interested in.

In this section, you can search goals. To use this feature, click .

You can search by:

  • Goal name

  • Goal identifier

  • Goal settings

Search helps you find the goals you need faster when there are a lot of settings configured.

Goal labels

You can use labels for goals. Labels help you sort the list of goals.

To select a label for sorting goals, click .

The following standard labels are available:

  • Automatic: Keeps in the table only automatically created goals. Learn more about automatic goals.

  • Favorites: Keeps in the table only the goals marked as favorites. Learn more about favorite goals.

Sorting goals by goal condition type is also supported.

Custom labels

In addition to standard labels, you can create custom labels and use them to sort goals.

To create a label, follow these steps:

  1. Click .
  2. In the list that opens, select .
  3. Next, enter the name of the new label and click the icon.

Limits for custom labels:

  • You can assign no more than 10 labels to a single goal.

  • You can create no more than 100 labels in the tag.

Labels are stored at the tag level and are available to all users of that tag.

Archived goals

Use archiving to keep a goal's settings and statistics while freeing up space to create new goals.

For archived goals:

  • Statistics are no longer calculated.

  • Goals aren't available in reports.

Archiving a goal

To archive a goal, follow these steps:

  1.   2. Select Archive.
  3. In the modal window that opens, confirm the action.

Unarchiving a goal

You can restore an archived goal. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click .
  2. Select Archived.
  3. In the list that opens, click the <sodipodi:namedview id="svg-mtefsgps__namedview2803" pagecolor="#ffffff" bordercolor="#000000" borderopacity="0.25" inkscape:showpageshadow="2" inkscape:pageopacity="0.0" inkscape:pagecheckerboard="0" inkscape:deskcolor="#d1d1d1" showgrid="false" inkscape:zoom="25.732538" inkscape:cx="14.90331" inkscape:cy="8.5106257" inkscape:window-width="1920" inkscape:window-height="1017" inkscape:window-x="-8" inkscape:window-y="-8" inkscape:window-maximized="1" inkscape:current-layer="i-ua1"/> icon next to the selected goal.
  4. Select Restore.

After this, the goal will be returned to all goals, its history up to the moment of archiving will be available in reports, and statistics collection will continue according to the configured settings.

Limit for archived goals

There is a limit for archived goals: no more than 1000 goals.

Goal change history

The change history is available in the goals section.

To view the change history for all goals in the tag, click . After that, a window will open where you can view the history of changes to all goals over a selected period. You can also view the change history for a specific goal. To do this, click the <sodipodi:namedview id="svg-gu1rt121__namedview2803" pagecolor="#ffffff" bordercolor="#000000" borderopacity="0.25" inkscape:showpageshadow="2" inkscape:pageopacity="0.0" inkscape:pagecheckerboard="0" inkscape:deskcolor="#d1d1d1" showgrid="false" inkscape:zoom="25.732538" inkscape:cx="14.90331" inkscape:cy="8.5106257" inkscape:window-width="1920" inkscape:window-height="1017" inkscape:window-x="-8" inkscape:window-y="-8" inkscape:window-maximized="1" inkscape:current-layer="i-ua1"/> icon for the selected goal and choose Change history. This opens a dialog box filtered to that goal.

Data storage period

Note that the goal change history for a tag is stored for the last 6 months from the current date. A longer period can't be selected.

The following events are displayed for goals:

  • Created

  • Updated

  • Deleted

  • Archived

  • Unarchived

For modified goals, you can see exactly which parameters were changed.

The following is displayed for each event:

  • Date and time of the change.

  • Goal name and identifier.

  • Description of the changes.

  • Role of the user who made the changes.

Who made the changes

Logins of the users who made specific goal changes are only visible to the tag owner.
