Chats for administrators

Administrators of group chats can:

Add new members
  1. Open the chat.
  2. At the upper-right corner, tap ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
  3. Select Members.
  4. Click Add.
Delete a member
  1. Open the chat.
  2. At the upper-right corner, tap ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
  3. Select Members.
  4. Click next to the person you want to delete.
  5. Click Delete from chat.
Add an administrator
  1. Open the chat.
  2. At the upper-right corner, tap ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
  3. Select Members.
  4. Click next to the person you want to assign as an administrator.
  5. Click Make admin.
Remove an administrator
  1. Open the chat.
  2. At the upper-right corner, tap ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
  3. Select Members.
  4. Click next to the administrator you want to remove.
  5. Click Remove from admins.
Pin a chat
  1. In the chat list, right-click on the name of the chat.
  2. Select Pin chat.
Rename and change description of the chat
  1. Open the chat.
  2. At the upper-right corner, tap ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
  3. Go to Chat settings.
  4. Change the name and description.
Change permissions for chat members

You can allow or disallow members to:

  • Send messages.
  • Edit and delete messages.
  • Send messages marked as important.
  • Pin messages.
  • Add new members.
  • Change the chat info.

To do this:

  1. Open the chat.
  2. At the upper-right corner, tap ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
  3. Go to Chat settings.
  4. Make changes in the Member permissions section.
Enable public link

To allow members to share the link to the chat:

  1. Open the chat.
  2. At the upper-right corner, tap ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
  3. Go to Chat settings.
  4. In the Access section, enable the Public link option.
