Yandex.Metrica “Session parameters” report

Use the “Session parameters” report in Yandex.Metrica to see and analyze statistics on widget parameters. With this report, you can find out, for example, which products and manufacturers are of most interest to customers, which type of widget is best for your content, and so on. This information is taken from the session parameters with its own statistics for each parameter displayed in the report.

What you need to do to get the report

To get the report, follow these steps:

  1. Create a tag and goals in Yandex.Metrica.

  2. Copy the tag number. You can find it in the Yandex.Metrica Settings menu.

  3. Enter the tag number in the widget code's metrikaCounterId parameter or in the constructor's Yandex.Metrica tag field.

  4. Embed the Yandex.Metrica tag code and widget code on your site's HTML page.

How to work with the report

To open the report in Yandex.Metrica, go to Reports → Standard reports → Content → Session parameters.

By default, the report displays information about all user sessions on your page. If you select one of the four goals created for collecting widget statistics, you'll see information on how this goal is completed.

The first-level market_widget parameter includes widget-related session parameters:

  • category_name — The category of products displayed in the widget.

  • clid — Your Yandex.Market partner ID.

  • page_url — The URL of the page where the tag and widget are installed.

  • params — The parameters specified in the widget code.

  • rotate — The parameter that shows whether Yandex.Market or Beru widgets auto rotate is enabled.

  • vendor_name — Product manufacturer.

  • product_name — Product name.

To see the graph by parameters, select the necessary items in the table.
