# Places

You can create lists of favorite places to quickly navigate to the desired location, such as a store, movie theater, your home or work address.

You can also add [stops and routes](https://yandex.com/support/maps/en/concept/station.md) of public transport to favorites.

## Save a place {#my_place_add}

1. [Find](https://yandex.com/support/maps/en/concept/object-search.md) the place on the map.
    
1. In the place card, click ![](../_assets/btn_myplace_1.png).
    
1. Select **Favorites** or [create](#my_place_new_list) a new folder.
    
    On the map, the place will be marked with the icon of the selected folder.

## Open a folder {#my_place_open}

**If you are logged in**

1. Click on your profile picture.
    
1. In the side menu, click **My places**.
    
1. Choose the desired folder.

**If you haven't logged in**

 
:   Click ![](../_assets/btn_dif.png) and log in. For more information, see [Log in to Yandex](https://yandex.com/support/id/auth.html).
    
    
    
    You can't move your places to another account.

You can add personal comments to places in folders:

1. [Open](#my_place_open) a folder with saved places and find the place you need.
    
1. In the **Add a comment about this place** field, enter your comment.
1. Click **Save**.

You can edit or delete your personal comments to saved places.

## Add your home and work addresses {#my_place_addr}

1. [Open](#my_place_open) **My places**.
    
1. On the **Places** tab, enter the address.
    
    To do this, find the **Home** or **Work** line and click **Add address**. Enter it manually or select a point on the map.
    
1. Click **Save**.
    
    Your **Home** and **Work** icons are always shown on the map.

## Create your own folder in My places {#my_place_new_list}

By default, bookmarked places are saved to the **Favorites** folder.

To create your own folder (for example, "Museums" or "Theaters"), follow these steps:

1. [Open](#my_place_open) **My places**.
    
1. On the **Places** tab, click **Create folder**.
    
1. Enter a name for the list.
1. To change the color and shape of the placemark on the map, click **Select icon**.
1. Click **Add description** to add details if needed.
1. Click **Save**.

## Change an address {#my_place_home_work}

1. [Open](#my_place_open) **My places**.
    
1. On the **Places** tab, open the folder with the place you want to edit.
1. Hover over the ![](../_assets/btn_menu_foto.png) icon and select **Edit**.
1. Make edits and click **Save**.

## Rename a folder of saved places  {#my_place_new_list_rename}

1. [Open](#my_place_open) **My places**.
    
1. On the **Places** tab, find the folder you want to rename and hover over the ![](../_assets/btn_menu_foto.png) icon.
1. Click **Edit**.
1. Enter a new folder name, then click **Save**.

## Move a saved place to a different list {#my_place_new_list_move}

1. [Open](#my_place_open) **My places**.
    
1. On the **Places** tab, open the folder with the place you want to move. Find the folder with the place you want to move and hover over the ![](../_assets/btn_menu_foto.png) icon.
1. Find the place and hover over the ![](../_assets/btn_menu_foto.png) icon, then select **Move**.
    
1. Select the folder where you want to move it, or create a new one.

## Share your saved places {#my_place_share}

You can send a link to your list to other users for them to view it and subscribe to updates.

1. [Open](#my_place_open) **My places**.
    
1. In the **Places** tab, click ![](../_assets/menu-kebab-horizont-2.png) to the right of the list.
    
1. Click **Share**.
    
1. Copy the link and send it to the user you want to share the list with. The list will be available to anyone who follows the link.

Only the owner can edit the list. If the owner updates the list, it will also change for everyone who has access to it.

To restrict access to the list:

1. [Open](#my_place_open) **My places**.
    
1. In the **Places** tab, click ![](../_assets/menu-kebab-horizont-2.png) to the right of the list.
    
1. Click **Access settings**.
    
1. Disable **Link to list active**.

## Delete a place from a folder {#my_place_del}

You can delete a place from a folder:

**In the **My places** section**

1. Open the folder with the place you want to delete.
1. Find the place and hover over the ![](../_assets/btn_menu_foto.png) icon.
1. Click **Remove**.

**In the object card**:

1. Open the [object card](https://yandex.com/support/maps/en/concept/object-kart.md).
1. Click ![](../_assets/pl_m3.png).
