2.7.1. General rules for drawing polygonal items

Sections of an item that are straight lines are drawn using two vertexes (for the beginning and ending points):

Sections of items that are not straight should be drawn using as few vertexes as possible while maintaining the smoothness of the outline at all map scales (all the way to 18):

Note. You can't apply the Round all corners operation to items in the “Administrative division” category, but you can draw administrative division borders along the rounded contours of hydrographic items and island coastlines.
