Mobile access for smartphones and tablets

You can use Yandex.Mail from various mobile devices through our mobile app, mobile web interface, or any pre-installed email client. Choose your mobile platform from the list:

Android

Using the “Mobile Yandex.Mail” app you can check Yandex Mail and read your emails if your device is connected to the Internet.

Attention! If you use two-factor authentication, you will need a “one-time” password, which is generated by the Yandex.Key app for logging in to “Mobile Yandex.Mail”.

App features:

  • Automatically checks your mail and notifies you about new messages
  • Groups messages by subject
  • Allows you to attach photos and files to messages directly from the “Yandex.Disk” mobile app
  • Automatically reconnects to your mailbox in case of an Internet connection failure
  • Sorts messages by folder or by label
  • Inserts your personal signature in messages
  • perform fast actions by using gestures.

To access the mobile interface of Yandex.Mail, launch your mobile web browser and type the following address mail.yandex.com/touch.

You can also work with Yandex.Mail through an email client pre-installed on your Android device. To do this, enable POP3 or IMAP protocols in the settings of your mailbox and then configure the mail client itself.

Configuring IMAP protocol
  1. Specify your email address and password (or the application password if you enabled two-factor authentication), then click Next.
  2. Set the account type to IMAP:.
  3. Complete the fields as follows:

    • server: imap.yandex.ru:
    • port — 993;
    • security type — SSL/TLS.

    Click Next.

  4. Complete the fields as follows:

    • smtp server: smtp.yandex.ru
    • port — 465;
    • security type — SSL/TLS.

    Enable the Log in to the system option, type your username and password, and then click Next.

  5. Specify how frequently to check the new mail in your Inbox folder and configure other options as needed. Click Next.

  6. Specify the account name and your name for outgoing messages. Click Next.

Configure POP3 protocol
  1. Specify your email address and password and then click Next.
  2. Set the account type to POP3.
  3. Complete the fields as follows:

    • server: pop.yandex.ru:
    • port — 995;
    • security type — SSL/TLS;
    • delete messages from server: never

    Click Next.

  4. Complete the fields as follows:

    • smtp server: smtp.yandex.ru
    • port — 465;

    Enable the Log in to the system option, type your username and password, and then click Next.

  5. Specify how frequently to check the new mail in your Inbox folder and configure other options as needed. Click Next.

  6. Specify the account name and your name for outgoing messages. Click Next.

iPhone

With the “Mobile Yandex.Mail” app, you can check and read your emails on Yandex.Mail as well as enjoy instant messaging when your mobile device is connected to the Internet.

Attention! If you use two-factor authentication, you will need a “one-time” password, which is generated by the Yandex.Key app for logging in to “Mobile Yandex.Mail”.

You can also work with Yandex.Mail through email clients pre-installed on your iPhone. To do this, enable IMAP support in your mailbox settings, and then set up the email client itself.

Configuring IMAP protocol
  1. Specify your name for outgoing messages.
  2. Specify your email address and password (or the application password if you enabled two-factor authentication).
  3. Specify the account name. Click Next.
  4. Select Mail. Click Save .

iPad

To access the mobile interface of Yandex.Mail, launch your mobile web browser and type the following address mail.yandex.com/touch.

  1. Specify your name for outgoing messages.
  2. Specify your email address and password (or the application password if you enabled two-factor authentication).
  3. Specify the account name. Click Next.
  4. Select Mail. Click Save .

Windows Phone

To access the mobile interface of Yandex.Mail, launch your mobile web browser and type the following address mail.yandex.com/touch.

You can also work with Yandex.Mail through an email client pre-installed on your Android device. To do this, enable IMAP support in your mailbox settings, and then set up the email client itself.

Configuring IMAP protocol
  1. Go to the SettingsEmail + accounts section.
  2. Click add service.
  3. Click advanced.
    Attention! Note that if you accidentally click another account instead of advanced, your email client will not be configured properly.
  4. Set the account type to Internet mail:.
  5. Specify your email address and password (or the application password if you enabled two-factor authentication). Click Next.
  6. Complete the fields as follows:
    • specify your name for outgoing messages
    • Incoming mail server — imap.yandex.com:993
    • account type: IMAP4
    • user name: specify your username
    • password: specify your password
    • outgoing (SMTP) email server — smtp.yandex.ru:465

    Click advanced settings and enable the following options:

    • Outgoing mail server requires user authentication.
    • Use the same username and password for sending mail.
    • Incoming mail requires SSL.
    • Outgoing mail requires SSL.

    Click Log in.

Symbian

To access the mobile interface of Yandex.Mail, launch your mobile web browser and type the following address mail.yandex.com/lite.

You can also work with Yandex.Mail using the email client that is pre-installed on your Symbian device. To do this, enable IMAP support in your mailbox settings, and then set up the email client itself.

Configuring IMAP protocol
  1. Go to MessagesFunctionsSettingsEmail.
  2. Select Mailboxes New Mailbox.
  3. Complete the fields as follows:
    • Mailbox typeIMAP;
    • My email address – address of your mailbox;
    • Incoming mail serverimap.yandex.ru;
    • Outgoing (SMTP) email server smtp.yandex.ru;
    • Current hotspot – the hotspot for the mobile Internet connection;
    • Mailbox name – your name displayed in the outgoing messages.
  4. Return to the Messages menu and select your mailbox.
  5. Click Functions Email parameters.
  6. Specify your Yandex username and password (or the application password if you enabled two-factor authentication) in the settings of the incoming and outgoing mail in section Connection parameters.

Other

To access the mobile interface of Yandex.Mail, start your mobile web browser and type the following address: mail.yandex.com/lite.
