Reading messages

Read a message

Log in to your mailbox and tap the email you want to read. To open an email from another folder, pull the screen to the right and select the folder from the list.

Download attachments

Open the email and tap the image of the attached file.

Apply a label

  1. Open the message.

  2. Tap the icon on the right side of the screen.

  3. Tap Mark as.

  4. Select a label.
Note. The mobile app lets you use only existing labels. You can create a new label in the Yandex.Mail web interface.

Delete a message

  1. Open the message.

  2. Tap the icon on the right side of the screen.

  3. Click Delete.

You can also delete a message directly from the email list.

Forward email

  1. Open the message.

  2. Tap the icon on the right side of the screen.

  3. Tap Forward.

Move an email to another folder

  1. Open the message.

  2. Tap the icon on the right side of the screen.

  3. Tap Move to folder.
  4. Select the folder you want to move the email to.

Translate email

You can translate an email with Yandex.Translate or you can use the full version of the Yandex.Mail web interface.

Problems with incoming email

Messages have disappeared from the mailbox

If you accidentally deleted your messages, or your messages have disappeared, try searching for them in the Trash folder (messages in this folder are available for 30 days after being deleted). To recover your emails:

  1. Go to the Trash folder.
  2. Select an email or multiple emails. To select a message, tap on the sender's avatar in the message bar.

  3. Tap the icon, and then at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Select the folder you want to move the email to.

If you can't find your missing emails in the Trash folder, it probably means there's no way to recover them.

If you didn't delete the messages, follow these steps:

  1. In the Yandex.Mail web interface, go to the Yandex.Mail log and see the information about your mailbox activities over the past week.
  2. Change your password on the Yandex.Passport page. Make sure you comply with email security rules.
  3. Make sure you're not using any apps that can delete emails. If a program that uses the POP3 protocol is installed on your phone, specify in its settings that you want to save email copies on the server when downloading emails.
I don't receive messages from social networks or forums
Attention. If you created a Yandex account after registering on a social media site or a forum, you won't receive a confirmation email. You will need to request the email from the website again.

If you you're not receiving a confirmation email after registering on a social media site or a forum, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you entered the correct email address.
  2. Make sure that your message filters don't contain a filter that deletes these types of emails. (You can disable or delete such a rule only in the Yandex.Mail web interface.)
  3. Make sure that the social network or forum email address is not blacklisted (You can remove a website address from the blacklist only in the Yandex.Mail web interface.)

If you are sure that the mailbox settings and the email address are correct, try requesting the confirmation email from the website again. If the message does not arrive within a few hours, please contact site administration.

  1. Pull the screen to the right.
  2. Tap Help and feedback under the folder list.
  3. Select Problem.
  4. Select a subject.
  5. Describe your problem in as much detail as possible.
Attention. If you'd like to report a problem with the mobile app, contact us from the app rather than on the Help page. This way your request will be received by the right support specialists and you will get a quicker response. Besides, when you send your request directly from the app, it lets the support specialists see some technical details that can help resolve the issue.

If the app crashes unexpectedly and you can't use it to contact us, please send the error message via the feedback form.
