Composing and sending messages

To write a new message, do the following:

  1. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Enter the recipient's address in the To field. To open the , Bсс and From fields (in order to enter a different email alias), tap .
  3. Enter the subject of your email in the Subject field.
  4. Enter your message in the text field.
  5. Tap Send in the upper right corner of the screen.

To attach a file to your email, tap the icon to the right of the subject and select the necessary file.

You can attach files from your smartphone or from Yandex.Disk. You can also use your smartphone camera to take a photo and attach it to an email.

Voice to text

If you're having difficulty typing your message, you can record it using your voice. Yandex.Mail will automatically convert voice to text:

  1. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Enter the recipient's address in the To field. To open the , Bсс and From fields (in order to enter a different email alias), tap .
  3. Tap in the lower-right corner of the screen.
To turn on voice control:
  1. Pull the screen to the right.
  2. Go to Settings → General.
  3. Enable Voice control and select the language to use for voice control.

Quickly create new emails

You can create a new email using the Yandex.Mail app icon. To do this:

  1. Tap and hold the Yandex.Mail app icon.
  2. Select Compose in the list that opens.

Cancel sending email

If you sent an email by mistake, you can cancel sending it within a few seconds of sending. To do this, tap Cancel sending at the bottom of the screen. After you cancel sending the email, close it and choose whether to save or delete your draft.

The default time to cancel sending an email is 3 seconds. To change this value:

  1. Pull the screen to the right.
  2. Go to Settings → General → Cancel sending email.
  3. Select the options you prefer: 5 seconds or 10 seconds.

To disable the option to cancel sending email, choose Turn off.
