# Playing videos in the app

Yandex app can open `MP4`, `WEBM`, `OGV`, `X-M4V`, `WMV`, and `HLS` video files.
Flash video files are [not supported](https://yandex.ru/support/browser/en/working-with-files/video.html#no-flash).
## View videos {#window}
#### Skip forward/back
To skip 10 seconds forward or back, tap twice on the right or left edge of the video, respectively.
#### View videos on top of apps

This feature isn't available to all users because it's still in development.

If you switch to a different app when viewing a fullscreen video, the video appears in a small window on top of the other app. Tapping the window returns you to viewing the video in the Yandex app. You can drag the video window anywhere on your smartphone screen.
To enable this feature:
1.
On the home screen, tap  **(profile picture)** → **App settings**.
1. Turn on these options:
- **Show video on top of other apps** — Continue playing the video in a separate window when you exit the fullscreen mode and switch to another app.
- **Show video when leaving the tab** — Continue playing the video in a separate window when you switch to another tab or app.
## Problems with video {#problems}
### Video lags {#slow}
The sound is ahead of the video, or a black screen is displayed instead of the video.
Disable power saving mode for a while and clear your cache and cookies.

1. Tap **Power saving mode**.
1. In **Power-saving settings**, slide the option to the left to **Off**.

### Low video quality {#low-quality}
The quality of video playback usually depends on your web connection speed. If it's inexplicably low, try clearing the cache:
1.
On the home screen, tap  **(profile picture)** → **App settings**.
1. Tap **Clear data**.
1. Select **Cache**.
1. Tap **Clear data**.
