Search bar

The search bar in the notification bar or on your device lock screen provides quick access to Yandex Search. It may also contain various widgets, such as the weather or traffic.

Add the search barAdd the search bar

1. On the Home screen, tap  (profile icon) → App settings.
2. Go to Notifications and tap Search bar.
3. Enable the options you need:
   • Search bar to display the search bar in the notification bar.
   • Weather widget, Traffic widget, or Exchange rate widget to add the widget to the notification bar.
   • Search bar on lock screen to display the search bar on your smartphone lock screen.

1. On the Home screen, tap  (profile icon) → App settings.
2. Go to Notifications and tap Search bar.
3. Hide the search bar in the notification bar or on the lock screen.

Why do I have two search bars?Why do I have two search bars?

Apps other than the Yandex app, such as Yandex Browser or Yandex Maps, have their own search bars. That's why multiple search bars may appear on your device.

You can disable the extra search bars in their app settings.
