Traffic jams on the map

There are multiple ways to show traffic jams on the map:

  • Tap   → Traffic.
  • Tap . While the data is loading, the button may flash yellow.

In some cities, the button displays information about the traffic level using a ten-point scale, where 0 points means that the roads are clear, and 10 points means that it would be quicker to walk.

Restriction. Traffic level indication is available in Russia, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.

The level of traffic congestion is indicated by color:

  • — Traffic is moving freely.
  • — Minor congestion.
  • — Traffic jams.
  • — Road blocked.
  • — No reliable data.

Traffic information is provided by Yandex Maps users. This data is sent anonymized and confidential. The more often the data is received, the more accurate and up-to-date the information on the map is.

Information on the map is updated as new data becomes available. If the traffic situation changes, Yandex Maps may suggest alternative or faster routes.
