# Plot a route
## Between points {#route-between-points}
1. Tap .
1. Fill in the **From here** and **To** fields. By default, **From here** displays your current location.
Ways to update the fields:
- Enter a place name or address.
- Put a placemark on the map.
- Select a point from your [Favorites](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/favourites-and-lists.md).
- Select your saved **Home** or **Work** address.
- Select a route from the **History** tab.
- Enter the object coordinates and select the appropriate option from the list.

Select the [transport type](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/route-transport.md): on foot, bicycle, scooter, car, or public transport.

If Yandex Maps offers multiple route options, choose one.
1. Tap **Let's go**.
If your location can't be determined or is determined inaccurately, [check](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/find-my-location.md#my-place-not-found) your device settings.
You can also use points on the map to plot a route:

- From the starting point
1. Tap and hold the starting point on the map.
1. Tap **From here**.
The selected point will appear in the **From** field.
- To the end point
1. Tap and hold your destination point on the map.
1. Tap **Directions**.
The selected point will appear in the **To** field, and the route to it will be plotted from your current location.

## From an object card {#route-object-search}
1. [Find](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/object-search.md#search) the object on the map or in the search bar.
1. Tap the place name to open the [place card](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/objects.md).
1. In the object card, tap **Directions**.
1. Select the [transport type](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/route-transport.md): on foot, bicycle, scooter, car, or public transport.
1. If Yandex Maps offers multiple route options, choose one.
1. Tap **Go**.
## From saved places {#route-favorites-places}
1. On the home screen, tap .
1. Select a [list of saved places](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/favourites-and-lists.md).
1. Tap .
1. If you have more than 20 places in your list, select no more than 20. The route will always start at **Current location**.

Select the [transport type](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/route-transport.md): on foot, bicycle, scooter, car, or public transport.
