Allow the app to access your location data
Yandex Maps can't function properly without access to your location data. Allow access to this data in your device settings.
Ensure that the GPS signal is available
Keep your device on the car dashboard. Obstacles, such as the car roof, dense foliage, or highrise buildings, reduce the quality of the GPS signal, and can block it completely.
Troubleshoot device issues
Sometimes, device issues may hinder accurate geolocation. Try the following:
- Close Yandex Maps. Hiding the app with the Back or Home buttons won't help. You need to open the list of running apps and swipe the Yandex Maps app right or left.
- Turn off Wi-Fi and turn it on again.
- Turn on Airplane Mode for 15–20 seconds, then turn it off.
- Restart your smartphone or tablet.
