Follow a route

After you choose a route, tap Go!.

The app will start tracking you as you move along your route by using your location information and your settings. You can:

When you're in motion, the app:

When you are traveling on a route, the Menu button is available. It opens a menu with the following items:

  • Traffic — Displays or hides traffic jams.

  • Full view — Switches the view from the current route segment to the entire route. To go back to an up-close view of the current route segment, tap Continue.

  • With sound — Enables or disables voice navigation.

  • My places — Opens the My places list.

  • Road events — Adds a road event.

  • Settings — Opens your Settings.


You can track your ride along a route you build in the app (if it's installed on your device).

Notifies you on screen and out loud

About turns, road events and speed cameras.

Just enable Road events.

To get notifications on the screen and also have them read out loud:

  1. Tap Menu .

  2. In the menu that opens, tap Out loud .

    The app will start telling you information about turns, road events, and speed cameras. For more information, see the description of the Sound setting.

  3. To turn off voice guidance during your ride, repeat actions 1 and 2.

Lets you know when there is a faster route

The app may notice that there is a faster route while you are driving. It will tell you immediately.

Tap on the message to switch to a new route.

Finds places along your route

To quickly find points of interest that are along your route:

  1. Tap Search .

    You will see the categories that are most useful for drivers. Choose the appropriate one.

    Or tap the microphone icon and say what you're looking for.

    Or tap ...more and enter your search in the field that appears.

    Places that are found will display on the map as .

  2. Tap one of the options. A panel opens showing the distance to the chosen location and its business hours.

    Tap one of these icons on the panel:

    1. Via — to make the selected point part of your route.

    2. To — the route will be set to the chosen point.

    To cancel your selection, tap somewhere on the map outside of the panel.

You can also choose another point on the map. See also Change the start or end point of a route.

Change the start or end point of a route

If, after creating a route, you want to change the start or end point of your route:

  1. Tap and hold the appropriate point on the map and a context menu will open.

  2. In the context menu, choose one of the following:

    • From this point: the route will be created so that it starts at the selected point.
    • — To this point: the route will be set so that the point you choose is the destination.
