Use the map

On the main page, you'll see a map of your area and the following buttons:

— Traffic

Displays the current traffic jam level.

— Layers

Lets you toggle between the layers — Parking and public transport (moving placemarks) layers.

and  — Map type

Switches between 2D and 3D map views.

— Search

Lets you search for geographic areas or organizations.

— Voice search

Enables voice search.

— Routes

Lets you set routes.

— Menu

Opens the map type menu, My places list, app settings, and road events operations.

In en route mode, the menu opens by pressing this key combination:

  • Traffic — displays or hides current traffic jams.

  • Overview — Switches from a view of the current segment of your route to an overview of your entire route. To go back to an up-close view of your current route segment, tap Continue.

  • With sound — enables or disables voice navigation.

  • Bookmarks — opens the Bookmarks list.

  • Road events — adds a road event.

  • Settings — opens your Settings.

 and  — Change scale

Lets you zoom in and out on the map.

You can also change the map's scale by pinching or spreading it, Or tap twice on any area of the map to zoom in.

Some phone models give you even more options to change the scale. For example, you might be able to change it using your volume button.

You can display or hide these buttons.

— Determine location

Automatically determines your location. If this function is enabled, your current location will display on the map as and be taken into account when searching for places and setting routes.

You can also do the following:

  • Create a list of favorite places on the map and use them to set routes.

  • Move the map. To view a different map area, drag the map in the appropriate direction.
  • Determine the distance between two places using the scale bar for your current map:

    You can display or hide the scale ruler.

  • Change the map orientation.

  • Use the options in the context menu. Tap and hold any point on the map to open the context menu:

  • As you move along your route, the app will track you and tell you about upcoming maneuvers, your speed, etc. You can configure the tracking features independently.
