Fighting spam

I receive spam

If you received a message you think is spam in your Inbox, please let us know by following these steps:

  1. Open the message.

  2. Tap the icon on the right side of the screen.
  3. Tap Spam!

This will help our anti-spam filters work better in your mailbox. You may need to make several complaints about similar unwanted messages for it to work. Learn more about how Yandex Mail fights spam in Help for Yandex Mail.

To mark several messages as spam, do the following:

  1. Select the messages. To select a message, tap on the sender's avatar in the message bar.

  2. Tap the icon at the bottom of the screen.

Non-spam messages arrive in the “Spam” folder

If an incoming message went straight to the Spam folder, it is automatically deleted in 10 days. If a message arrived in the Spam folder by mistake, do the following:

  1. Open the email.

  2. Tap the icon on the right side of the screen.
  3. Tap Not spam

New emails from this sender will now be arriving in the Inbox folder.

To recover multiple messages from the Spam folder, do the following:

  1. Select the messages. To select a message, tap on the sender's avatar in the message bar.

  2. Tap the icon at the bottom of the screen.

Unsubscribe from unwanted mailing lists

Each mailing list usually contains instructions on how to unsubscribe from it. In most cases, you can unsubscribe directly on the website or by contacting the website administrator.

You can also add unwanted email addresses to your blacklist in the full version of Yandex Mail.

Note. To switch to the full version of Yandex Mail, tap in the upper-left corner of the screen and then the Full version link at the bottom of the screen. To return to Yandex Mail for mobile, tap the Light version link at the bottom of the page.

  1. In the upper-left corner of the screen, tap .
  2. Tap Settings → Help and support → Feedback.
  3. Describe your problem in as much detail as possible.
