# Translate text in images

In the Yandex Images mobile version, you can translate text from a photo or image:

1. Open [Yandex Images](https://yandex.com/images/) in a mobile browser.
1. Tap the ![](_images/image-search.png) icon in the Yandex Images search bar, then take a photo of the text or upload the image with the text from the gallery. To translate only part of the text, tap **Select crop area**.
1. In the window that opens, go to the **Text** tab. If you don't see this tab, it means that no text was found in the image.
1. When the text is recognized, tap **Translate**. The Yandex Translator window will open briefly, and then you'll see the translation. The translated text will be positioned as in the original image.
  To change the translation language, select it from the list at the top of the screen. The translation appears automatically.
