I didn't receive a verification code via SMS or notification from Yandex
I'm not getting an SMS
If you didn't receive a verification code via SMS, follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue:
-
Make sure that you entered the correct phone number. When logging in, enter the main number linked to your account in international format.
-
Make sure that your phone is within the network range. The signal should be stable.
-
Make sure that you only have one SMS reading app on your device. If there are multiple apps, messages may not be displayed.
-
Make sure that messages from Yandex and Yandex Taxi are not being filtered as spam. This filter may be enabled in your phone or SIM card settings.
To check the spam filter on your SIM card, use the settings in your mobile subscriber account or contact your mobile service provider.
Tip
If you've tried everything above and the code still hasn't arrived, try restarting your device. Then request a code again.
Too many messages sent
If you request SMS messages too often, sending codes to your phone number may be temporarily restricted. Try waiting for an hour before a new request.
If it's been a while since you were able to receive messages, follow our recommendations or contact support.
I'm not getting push notifications
The verification code may be sent in a push notification instead of an SMS. Push notifications appear on one of the mobile devices that you used to log in to your account.
A push notification is sent to my device, but I'm not getting the code
Make sure that:
- You have at least one Yandex app installed. It can be Yandex with Alice, Yandex Mail, Yandex Key, or Yandex Browser.
- You allowed all Yandex apps to send notifications in your device's settings.
Alternatively, you can verify your login via SMS. Wait until the timer counts down to zero and press Get a new code → Via SMS.
I don't have access to the device that the push notification is sent to
If you don't have access to the device that you previously used to receive notifications, press Get a new code → Via SMS.
For push notifications to be sent only to your current devices, update the device list:
- In the Devices section, press Log out on all devices.
- Log in on your phone and computer again.
If you don't have access to the phone number, follow these steps to change your phone number.
The confirmation code is sent to a phone number I no longer use
It might be that you're logging in on a new device or Yandex is asking you to change your password.
Check if you have another device where you're logged in to the same account, and select one of the following options to see possible solutions:
I'm logged in on another device
If you still have the device where you're logged in to the account, change your phone number in Yandex ID. Go to Phone numbers and press ⋮ next to the main number → Update.
While the change is in progress, you can log in to the account using other methods without the need for phone number verification. See Passwordless login to learn more.
