# Data

The [Data](https://id.yandex.com/personal) tab on your account page contains your personal information (full name, gender, age, country of residence), documents (passport, driver's license, and others), addresses, and contact details. Yandex ID provides secure storage for your personal data using encryption.

All the important documents are always at hand. You can add new data, edit, change, or delete it at any time.

You can use information from your documents and your addresses in other Yandex services. For example, if you entered your passport information in one service and saved it to Yandex ID, you don't need to enter it again in another service. When you fill out forms, this information is automatically propagated from Yandex ID. This is convenient and saves you time.

In this tab, you can:

Enter your main [personal details](https://id.yandex.com/personal#profile-fill).

- Enter your name and birthday.
    
- Upload a profile photo.


- Add your address and phone number.


    
- Link external profiles (for example, social network profiles) to your account.

You can add information about documents:

- When filling out forms in Yandex services.
    
- On the [Data](https://id.yandex.com/personal) tab.

- Add a document


  1. In the [Documents](https://id.yandex.com/personal#documents) section, click the document name.

  1. Enter the document data in the new window. You may also upload a photo of the document.

  1. Click **Save**.
    
- Edit a document


  1. In the [Documents](https://id.yandex.com/personal#documents) section, click the document name.

  1. At the bottom of the window that opens, click ![](_assets/edit-doc-icon.png =25x) and edit the document.

  1. Save the changes.
    
- Delete a document
    

  1. In the [Documents](https://id.yandex.com/personal#documents) section, click the document name.

  1. At the bottom of the window that opens, click ![](_assets/delete-doc-icon.png =25x).

  1. Confirm your action.

In the [Pets](https://id.yandex.com/personal#pets) section, you can:

- Enter the general information about your pet, such as its species, name, and gender.
- Specify its breed and age.
- Add its physical characteristics.
- Add its health data.

Save your addresses to order delivery on Yandex Market or get directions faster in Yandex Maps or Yandex Navigator.

- Add address


  1. In the [Addresses](https://id.yandex.com/personal#addresses) section, select the one you want to add (home, work, or other). 
  1. In the window that opens, start entering the address (country, city, street, house) and select an appropriate option from the list.    
  1. In the **To help the courier** block, enter additional information, such as your apartment number, entrance, floor, and door code. You may leave a comment for the courier.      
  1. Click **Save**.

- Edit your address


  1. In the [Addresses](https://id.yandex.com/personal#addresses) section, select the one you want to change (home, work, or other).
  1. In the window that opens, click ![](_assets/edit-address-icon.png =25x) and make changes.
  1. Click **Save**.

- Delete an address


  1. In the [Addresses](https://id.yandex.com/personal#addresses) section, select the one you want to delete (home, work, or other).
  1. At the bottom of the window that opens, click **Delete address**.
  1. Confirm your action.

In the [Contacts](https://id.yandex.com/personal#contacts) section, you can find your phone numbers, postal addresses (main and additional), as well as linked accounts in other services. You can edit or delete them.

In the [Public data](https://id.yandex.com/personal#public-data) section, you can:

- Go to your reviews and ratings that other users can see in Yandex services.
    
- Create an easy-to-remember address for your public pages on Yandex (for example, for your Yandex Q profile).
    

To add a public address:

1. In the [Public data](https://id.yandex.com/personal#public-data) section, click **Add a public address**.
    
1. Enter the address or choose one from the list of suggestions. You can use numbers and Latin letters. You can only change your account address twice.
    
1. Click **Save**.

In the [Public profile in Yandex Search](https://id.yandex.com/personal/public-profile) section, you can:

- Describe your personal and professional qualities.
    
- Upload your academic credentials.
    
- Add information about your work experience.
    
- Describe your professional achievements.
    
- Add your contact information.

{% cut "Alice settings" %}


Once Alice is [activated on a device or in a service](https://yandex.ru/support/alice/talking.html), it records and sends your voice requests to Yandex. The rest of the time, Alice listens to the surrounding sounds so that it can react when it hears the activation phrase. Until it's activated, Alice doesn't record or transmit any information it hears.

Yandex can use the received records to train and improve Alice. The received data is anonymized and cannot be attributed to a specific user. Besides, the user's voice is automatically distorted during the recording, so it cannot be recognized.

To allow or prohibit the use of your data to improve Alice:

1. In the [Manage data](https://id.yandex.com/personal#data-management) section, click **Data for Alice**.
    
1. Enable or disable the **Help Alice get better** option.

You can manage all Yandex promotional emails in one place:

1. In the [Manage data](https://id.yandex.com/personal#data-management) section, click **Promotional emails**.
    
1. Choose **Already received** or **All**.
    
1. If you don't want to receive promotional emails from a service, uncheck it in the list.

    If a service is selected, it doesn't mean you will receive emails. To receive them, subscribe to the promotional mailing list in the relevant service.

1. Click **Save**.

{% cut "Download the archive of personal data" %}


You can download an archive of your personal data currently stored in Yandex services.

To get the archive for your account:

1. In the [Manage data](https://id.yandex.com/personal#data-management) section, click **Data on services** and make sure you're logged in with the right Yandex ID.
    
1. On the Manage user data page, choose a service and click **Order data archive**.
    

You can learn about the archive status from the information on the page. Once your archive is ready, it will appear in **Ordered archives**. This is where you can also view the password for unpacking the archive.

{% cut "Delete account" %}


When an account is deleted, the associated data is deleted too and the username is blocked for re-registration. You can undo the deletion within 30 days, if you completed [full](https://yandex.com/support/id/en/authorization/phone-number.md#full-login) registration. In this case, we'll restore your data in all Yandex services, except Yandex Mail. If you completed simplified registration (using a [phone number](https://yandex.com/support/id/en/authorization/phone-number.md#login-phone), [non-Yandex email address](https://yandex.com/support/id/en/authorization/lite.md#login-mail), or [external authentication method](https://yandex.com/support/id/en/social.md)), the account will be deleted immediately.

To delete an account:

1. In the [Manage data](https://id.yandex.com/personal#data-management) section, click **Delete account**.
    
1. At the bottom of the page, enter the code from the image and click **Send confirmation code**.
    
1. Enter the code received on your phone and click **Delete account**. If you changed your mind, click **Back to Passport**.

You can search for specific settings and data in [Yandex ID](https://id.yandex.com), messages in [Yandex Mail](https://mail.yandex.com), and files and folders in [Yandex Disk](https://disk.yandex.com). 
1. Open the [Yandex ID](https://id.yandex.com) page.
1. Start entering a query in the search bar at the top of the page.
1. Select the appropriate option from the suggestions.
