# Personal data

To edit personal data, go to the [Data](https://id.yandex.com/personal) tab and click your name at the top of the page.

In the window that opens, you can:

**Add a photo**

 
:   Choose a photo to display on Yandex services:
    
    1. Click **Add a photo** and select a file on your computer.
    1. Click **Save**.

**Change information about yourself**

 
:   By default, your Yandex ID displays the information that you provided during registration. You can change it:
    
    1. Enter your first and last name.
    1. Specify your gender, date of birth, and location.
    1. Choose the time zone.
    1. Click **Save**.

**Specify a name for comments**

 
:   Set a different first and last name for comments and reviews. It doesn't require changing your name or other personal information provided during registration. However, this makes it more difficult to restore access.
    
    To select a name to display on Yandex services:
    
    1. Enter your preferred name in the **What's your name?** field.
    1. Click **Save**.
