# Complete a task
On the [Yandex Tasks home page](https://tasks.yandex.com/tasks), you can see the list of available tasks and pick the one you want to work on.
## View task list {#list}
Go to the ** Tasks** tab. You'll see a list of available tasks grouped by type.
You can perform the following actions with the task in the list:
1. Read the instruction.
1. See the cost in USD.
1. Mark as favorite. Hover over the task card and press → **Add to favorites**. The task will be flagged with the mark.
1. Hide from the list. Hover over the task card and press → **Hide task**. To view your hidden tasks, use [filters](#filter).
## Filter and sort tasks {#filter}
Set up your task list:
1. Display only your favorite tasks.
1. Sort tasks. Use one of the links above the task list. To change the sorting order, press the same link again.
1. Filter tasks.

### 18+ tasks {#adult-filter}
Tasks labeled as **18+** may contain sensitive or adult content, such as nudity, strong language, or photos and videos depicting violence. Requesters take this info from the internet, where it was uploaded by different users.
The purpose of these tasks is to label such content to help train the protection and content filtering algorithms. This is done to safeguard internet users, including children, from undesired content.
With projects like this, requesters want to make the internet safer. You can help them in their efforts.
## View a task {#view}
In the [task list](#list) choose a task and press **Start**. This will open the task page.

Task page interface:
1. Quick navigation to the **Tasks**, **In progress**, and [Messages](https://yandex.com/support/global-tasks/en/profile/messages.md) tabs.
1. Time left for completion.
1. Task type.
1. Task price.
1. Tips. Available options:
- **Hotkeys** — keys you can use to perform the task.
- **About this page** — tips about the interface.
1. Instructions. If you view the instructions while the timer keeps going. So you might want to check the instructions in [the task list](#list) before you start.
1. Feedback. Available options:
- **Rate task**
- **Report a violation**
1. Switch to the full screen mode.
## Complete a task {#leave}

If you fail to submit a completed task before the timer expires, it won't count as completed.

Select one of the options:
1. If you've completed a task but don't want to pick up the next one, press **Exit** → **Submit and exit**.
1. If you don't want to complete the task right now, press **Exit** → **Exit**. The task will return to the main pool.
1. If you want to skip a task and move to the next one in the set, press **Skip** at the bottom of the page.
1. If you've completed a task and want to move to the next one in the set, press **Submit** at the bottom of the page.

[*ordinary_tasks]: Tasks where you process data provided by the requester. You don't need to go anywhere to complete them.
[*field_tasks]: Tasks where the requester specifies a location on the map. You have to go there and complete an action (for example, find an organization, find the working hours, or take a photo).
