How to prepare products for sale in the store

The products uploaded to the catalog must be prepared for sale. Depending on the work model and the category of your products, the following steps may be necessary.

Check the product statuses

In order for the products to be displayed on the showcase, there should be no errors in the statuses.

What are the statuses?

Product status it will show whether the product can get to the showcase, for example, whether it has already been checked. There are more on the Market card quality status they show whether there is enough information about your product, for example, whether all the required fields are filled in, whether the product has photos.

What do the product statuses mean:

Ready for sale

There is nothing wrong with the product. If the store is connected and running, customers can buy it.

What should I do if the product is in this status, but it is not on display

Check if everything is OK with the store: open the page Summary or the catalog in the cabinet and see if there are any error messages there.

If the store operates according to the DBS model, the goods may not be visible on the showcase due to the delivery settings, for example:

  • neither delivery nor pickup is configured for the region in which you are located;
  • all order pick-up points are turned off;
  • only delivery is configured for the region, and according to the law, goods can only be sold with pickup.

On verification

The product is checked after it is added to the catalog or information about it is changed.

Hidden by you

You have hidden the product in one of the following ways:

  • set the parameter for the product Hide from the showcase;
  • deleted the product from the file for auto-updating the catalog;
  • the file itself was deleted.

How do I return the product to the showcase?

You can't sell

The product cannot be sold on the Market. The restrictions are described in the section What can be sold on the Market.

There are mistakes

Look in the column Problems to find out what's the matter.

Out of stock

Send information about the balances in your warehouse or make a delivery to the Market warehouse if you work according to the FBY model.

Status unknown

The status has not been updated yet, wait a bit. If he still does not appear, write to support.

Upload the documents for the goods

How to find out if documents are needed

Find your product categories in the article What can be sold on the Market. If documents are required, it will indicate which ones. If there are no instructions about a specific category, then documents are not needed.

How to upload documents for goods

The documents that buyers can request, for example, a document on the quality of the product, upload as follows:

  1. Click on the name of your office in the lower left corner.
  2. Choose Documents for goods.

Set up product cards

How to combine product options on the card

If the options have not been added to the catalog yet:

  1. On the connection page in the step Preparation of goods for sale click View all products.

  2. Select the desired product.

  3. On the product page, click Add an option.

  4. Ask Card number. It must be unique among the products in this category.

  5. Fill in the fields, specifying the features of this product variant — for example, color and size.

  6. Upload images of this product variant.

  7. To add another option, click Add an option. If the new option differs from the created one or two parameters, click next to a similar option and select Copy. Don't forget to edit the different characteristics and images if necessary.

  8. When you're done, click Save and complete.

    Before saving, the Market will check whether everything is correct: all required fields are filled in and there are no duplicate product variants. If there are errors, follow the recommendations on the page, and then click again Save and complete. If everything is in order, you will return to the product page.

If the options have already been added to the catalog:

  1. On the connection page in the step Preparation of goods for sale click View all products.
  2. In the upper right corner, click Upload products.
  3. In the section From the file in the block By category click Download.
  4. Download and open the template for the category to which the product belongs.
  5. In the field Card number for each option, specify the same number — unique within this product category.
  6. Upload the file in the same block where you downloaded the template.
How to edit a card

It is most convenient to make point changes in the office:

  1. On the connection page in the step Preparation of goods for sale click View all products.
  2. Select the desired product.
  3. Make the changes and save them.

If you need to edit many product cards from the same category at once, it is convenient to do this using a special Excel template:

  1. On the connection page in the step Preparation of goods for sale click View all products.
  2. In the upper right corner, click Upload products.
  3. In the section From the file in the block By category click Download.
  4. Fill out the template. All fields are described in detail on the Field Description sheet — look there if necessary.
  5. Upload the file in the same block where you downloaded the template.
How to work with the content converter

If you need to add characteristics of a large number of different products to the Market, the content converter will help:

  1. On the connection page in the step Preparation of goods for sale click View all products.
  2. In the upper right corner, click Upload products.
  3. In the section From the file in the block Content Converter click Go over.

How to delete an item
  1. On the connection page in the step Preparation of goods for sale click View all products.
  2. Mark all the items that need to be deleted.
  3. A button will appear Remove — press it.

Transfer the leftovers

In the FBS, DBS and Express models, specify the balances.

How to transfer the leftovers

Balances are not updated instantly: up to 15 minutes pass from the moment of data transfer to changes on the Market.

To transfer the leftovers in the cabinet:

  1. On the connection page in the step Preparation of goods for sale click Transfer the leftovers. There may not be a button with this name if you have not yet uploaded products that can be sold according to the selected model, or there are errors in the catalog.
  2. Find the desired product in the list.
  3. Enter the quantity of the product in the column Remains.

To transfer the leftovers using an Excel file:

  1. On the connection page in the step Preparation of goods for sale click Transfer the leftovers. There may not be a button with this name if you have not yet uploaded products that can be sold according to the selected model, or there are errors in the catalog.
  2. In the upper right corner, click Place the leftovers.
  3. Download the template. Fill it out according to the instructions — it is inside the file.
  4. Select the balance update mode:
    • completely — for those products that are not in the file, the balances will be reset;
    • partially — the balances will change only for items from the file.
  5. Upload the completed template back to the Market on the same page.

If the file weighs more than 100 MB, split it into several parts and upload them separately in partial update mode.

You can manage the balances through CMS modules, auto-update (YML) and API. Instructions for configuring these tools are available in the section Automating work with the catalog.

In the FBY model, it is not necessary to transfer the leftovers, it is enough to make a delivery to the warehouse. Only products with the status can be placed in the warehouse Out of stock.

If the products have a different status, find the reason for the errors.
