Information about products on the Market

There are two types of product specifications. The same things are common to all your stores — for example, the same product in all stores is called the same and has the same weight. Others — defining the terms of sale — may vary from store to store. For example, each store has its own delivery schedule.

General parameters for all stores in the cabinet

Warning

Information about products that do not change from update to update — for example, your SKU or the name of the product — always indicate unchanged.

The market can disable the seller's store, which regularly transmits different parameter values for the same product.

Name (required)

Customers will see the name on the product card.

Requirements

The type of product and distinctive characteristics must be written in Russian.

Make up the name according to the scheme: type + brand or manufacturer + model + features, if any (for example, color, size or weight) and quantity in the package.

Do not include in the name of the terms of sale (for example, "discount", "free shipping", etc.), emotional characteristics ("hit", "super", etc.). Do not write words in capital letters — except for the well-established names of brands and models.

The optimal length is 60-120 characters.

Category (required)

The category to which you refer the product.

Tip

Sometimes the Market can automatically determine a category based on the data from the name — if there are several of them, it will offer different options. Select the appropriate category from the drop-down list or specify your own.

List of Market categories

Requirements

It must be specified when adding products via an Excel file, a link file, or an API, if no value is passed categories on the Market. The description of the category must be written in Russian.

Item number (SKU) (required)

The article is constantly used in work: it is needed for all operations on goods and is displayed in reports. If you create identifiers yourself, make them convenient for yourself.

An already set article cannot be released and reused for another product — each product must receive a new identifier that you have not used before.

Barcode (required)

The barcode of the product from the manufacturer. If the product is sold in packages, you need a barcode for the package.

Most often, the manufacturer prints a barcode on the product itself, tag or box. If there is no code, generate it on the product page in the account. You can generate barcodes for several products in the catalog — mark them in the list and click Generate barcodes.

Requirements

Specify it as a sequence of characters. The codes EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E or Code 128 are suitable.

For books, specify the ISBN. For pharmacy and veterinary products, the barcode must be a valid GTIN code.

What is GTIN?

GTIN is a unique number assigned to a product in a single international database GS1. An EAN, UPC, or ISBN barcode is obtained from this number.

How to make sure that the product is in the database

You can check the code on the verification page on the GS1 Association website. If the product is not found, request the GTIN code from your supplier.

How to get a GTIN for your products

To get GTIN codes, the manufacturer needs to join the GS1 association and register the goods.

Please note: barcodes starting with 2 or 02 and Code 128 format codes cannot be used as a barcode from the manufacturer — they are intended for internal use only.

Description (required)

Detailed product description: for example, its advantages and features.

Requirements

Let's give a description in Russian.

Do not give installation and assembly instructions in the description. Do not use the words "discount", "sale", "cheap", "gift" (except gift categories), "free", "promotion", "special price", "novelty", "new", "analog", "order", "hit". Do not provide any contact information or links.

You can use the following tags:

<h>, <h1>, <h2> and so on — for headlines;
<br> and <p> — to transfer a line;
<ol> — for a numbered list;
<ul> — for a bulleted list;

Dimensions and weight with packaging (required)

Length, width, height, weight in the package.

Specify the actual dimensions and weight of the product, taking into account the packaging. For more information on how to specify dimensions, see the article.

If the product takes up more than one place — for example, several boxes or packages — before measuring the total length, width and height, fold the boxes or packages as compactly as possible.

If the product is sold at a discount, specify the price without discount in this field. The market will show it crossed out so that customers can see the benefits. Valid in all cabinet stores.

Up to 30 images that are shown on the product card. Be sure to download at least one.

Requirements

jpg, png and pdf files of up to 30 MB are accepted.

You can add no more than 6 files. The maximum length of the instruction name is 150 characters. The name can be omitted, by default the file will be called Instruction manual.

You can upload files in your account. In the Excel template, specify the links to the files.

If the product is not intended for children under a certain age, specify this.

Characteristics that only products of a specific category have

In addition to the general properties, the product has characteristics inherent in the specific category to which it belongs. For example, a bicycle has a frame size, and baby puree can be vegetable, meat or fruit.

Fill in the characteristics in Russian, except for the characteristics with a limited list of values. For such characteristics, it is necessary to select a value from the list in the form in which it is presented.

This method is not suitable for updating the characteristics of products combined on one card. When transmitting characteristics in this way, it is easy to make mistakes, so it is recommended to do this through Excel-category templates.

Combining options on one card

To combine product options on one card, fill in the field The name of the group of options. This can be a sequence of any characters up to 255 characters long.

Archive it

In the cabinet, there is an action with the product in the catalog.

In the Excel files of the catalog and categories, there is a column Archive, in which you can write Yes if you need to transfer the product to the archive.

Remove from sale

This field allows you to suspend the sale of an item in one store.

Requirements

It looks like a checkmark in the office Hide from the showcase. In the Excel file, there is a column Hide from the storefront (FBY, FBS).

Minimum quantity of goods

Currency

The currency in which the price of the product is indicated. The Market shows the price in rubles to customers, recalculating it at the exchange rate of the Central Bank.

This field is used if working with base prices has not yet been enabled for the cabinet.

The currency selected during registration of the account must be used.

In the cabinet, you can simply select a currency from the list. The Excel file specifies the currency code: RUR, BYN, EUR, USD, UAN, KZT.
