Menu

Before making changes to a menu, read the basic menu criteria and recommendations. This will help you make a quality menu that's clear to users, and avoid cases where your items don't pass moderation.

To upload items to the menu:

  1. Go to Menu and select the restaurant.

  2. Click Add category.

  3. Select a category or create a new one and click Save. You can create up to three categories.

    Category requirements:

    • The category must contain at least one item.
    • All category names must be unique.
    • You can use numbers, letters, commas, hyphens, and №.
    • The category name can be from 3 to 80 characters long.

Categories help organize your menu. Add the categories you need, but no more than ten.

  4. Select a category and click Add item.

  5. Specify the item parameters:

    • Name.
    • Description.
    • Photo.
    • Weight.
    • Price.
    • VAT percentage if the item is taxable.
    • Calories, protein, fat, and carbohydrates.
  6. If necessary, add multiple options, such as fillings, sauces, or additional ingredients.

    Option requirements:

    • if you want to make an option mandatory for users to select, choose Selection required.
    • Options can be paid or free.
  7. Click Save.

Add all items the same way.

You can also update the menu in this section.

Item moderation

All items added to the delivery menu must meet several mandatory criteria. This is why all new items are first sent for moderation.

Moderation results:

  • The item is accepted as-is.
  • The item is accepted and we correct typos so your menu looks good to users.
  • The item is rejected if we can't deliver it or there isn't enough information about it.

When an item is rejected, a red exclamation mark is displayed next to it. To see why an item was rejected, clickimage/svg+xmldotsdotsCreated with Sketch.next to it and select Edit. A window opens with the reason for rejection:

To read more about rejection reasons, check out the Why an item didn't pass moderation article.

Cuisine and item tags

What are restaurant tags?

In Yango Deli, every restaurant has tags. They're used for filtering restaurants in the search results.

Filters are buttons with item and cuisine categories. They're based on the most popular search queries and help users find restaurants they like.

You can view filters on the main page of the app or the website for users.

Restaurants are included in filters and shown in the search bar thanks to special marks with item and cuisine categories calledtags. Tags are added based on the restaurant's concept and menu.

Note

If a restaurant has popular tags like "Pizza", "Burgers", or "Japanese", it's shown in the filters on the main page. If it has less popular tags, like "Pancakes" or "Serbian", users can find the restaurant by entering the tag name in the search bar.

There are two kinds of tags:

  • National cuisine tags — you can add up to three of them.
  • Item tags — you can add up to six of them.

If there aren't enough cuisine tags for a restaurant, you can use item tags instead.

To view your tags:

1. Log in to the user app or the Yango Deli website.

2. Enter the closest delivery address to your restaurant.

3. Find your restaurant in the general list and click it to open the restaurant card.

4. Press the i button in the app or Restaurant information on the website. You can view the current tags under the restaurant's address.

Tag requirements

You can add up to six tags for your restaurant. This is the optimal number to ensure high-quality search results and make it easy for users to find what they want:

  • Three item tags.
  • Three cuisine tags.

Alert

The tags must match the restaurant's actual menu. The more accurate they are, the easier it is for users to find your restaurant and place an order.
