Setting up in Windows
Windows 11
- 
Open the Start menu and select Settings.  
- 
Select Network & internet from the menu on the left.  
- 
Go to Properties.  
- 
In the DNS server assignment section, click Edit.  
- 
In the window that opens, select Manual.  
- 
Enable the protocol version you're using.  
- 
Enter IP addresses of selected DNS servers in the Preferred DNS and Alternate DNS fields.  
Windows 10
- 
Type control panelin the taskbar search box and select it in the results.
- 
Select the Category view mode.  
- 
In the Network and Internet category, open View network status and tasks.  
- 
Select Change adapter settings.  
- 
Right-click your network connection and select Properties.  
- 
Select IP version 4 (TCP/IPv4) → Properties.  
- 
Enable the Use the following DNS server addresses option.  
- 
Enter IP addresses of selected DNS servers in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS Server fields.  
Windows 8 or 8.1
- 
Swipe left from the right edge of the screen or move the mouse to the upper-right corner of the screen and then down. Press Search. Type control panelin the search box and select it in the results. 
- 
Select the Category view mode.  
- 
In the Network and Internet category, open View network status and tasks.  
- 
Select Change adapter settings.  
- 
Right-click your network connection and select Properties.  
- 
Select Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) → Properties.  
- 
Enable the Use the following DNS server addresses option.  
- 
Enter IP addresses of selected DNS servers in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS Server fields.  
Windows 7
- 
Go to Start → Control Panel. Select the Category view mode.  
- 
In the Network and Internet category, open View network status and tasks.  
- 
In the View your active networks section, click a link next to Connections.  
- 
Select Properties.  
- 
Select Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) → Properties. Note If your operating system is password-protected, enter the administrator password.

Enable the Use the following DNS server addresses option. 
- 
Enter IP addresses of selected DNS servers in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS Server fields. 
Windows XP
- 
Go to Start → Control Panel → Network connections.  
- 
Right-click your network connection and select Properties.  
- 
Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) → Properties.  
- 
Enable the Use the following DNS server addresses option.  
- 
Enter IP addresses of selected DNS servers in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS Server fields.
