# Setting up on UPVEL routers

Yandex DNS is built into most UPVEL routers. It can be configured for individual devices or for all devices at once.

Update the router firmware before setting up Yandex DNS:

1. Open the browser and enter `192.168.10.1` in the address bar.
1. Enter your username and password.

    Default username and password: `admin`/`admin`

1. Upgrade the firmware to the latest version. For the upgrade instructions, refer to the router's user manual. ## Set up in the interface {#settings-router}

If you couldn't find the section for enabling Yandex DNS in the router settings, specify the DNS addresses [manually](https://yandex.com/support/dns/en/other-routers.md).

1. Select the [filtering mode](https://yandex.com/support/dns/en/ya-dns-modes.md#ya-dns-mode) for all devices:
    1. Go to the **Yandex DNS** → **Yandex DNS** section.
    1. Select the option **Enable** and set the desired Yandex DNS filtering mode for all devices.

    1. Click **Apply changes**.
1. Assign custom modes for individual devices, for example, **Family mode** for your child's laptop:
    1. Go to the **Yandex DNS** → **Devices** section.
    1. In the **DHCP clients** table, find the MAC address of the desired device. Select it in the **Select** column.

    1. Click **Add**.
    1. Enter the device name and select the Yandex DNS filtering mode.

    1. Click **Apply changes**.
